Allright will try to keep it simple..!
Been using Stunner carb one for last 3 years..it has completed 25000 kms on the odo and my bike gave an average of 30-35 kmpl and my best speed was 90 kmph and that too while going downhill on the flyover, the bike vibrated at around 25-30 kmph speed..it would stop after a gear change and would return at 50kmph..the max it would go at 4th gear was 40 kmph..but was lazy enough to take measures for the same..
However after reading this thread, i have figured out various things i need to do..
1. Check the air filter and oil filter.
2. Need to tune the bike properly
3. will change the front sprocket to Unicorn's 15t
4. will use some other oil apart from castrol..maybe motul

Some help i need though..
1. the suspensions not so good on comparison with other bikes..and it is clearly visible on the potholed mumbai roads. Cost of changing the suspension
2. My silencer is somewhat damaged cause it makes more noise than the other stunners..Cost for the same.

Is this enough or i need to do something else also..?
Pls suggest..
I have nil experience about all the servicing stuff..my brother would take the bike for servicing..
Some other suggestions also welcome..as i want to have a thorough experience about these things on my old stunner before i take a new bike..
Thanks..

sorry for being late.before changing suspension, try using softer setting. for parts costs, dealership is the best place to get answers. but before changing anything costly be sure what the problem is coz sometimes faulty part means something wrong upstream!for low mileage and speed, also check chain condition & tyre pressure. and I hope clutches are fine..and regarding tuning, tell your mechanic that you want good pickup with good mileage. this way he wont tune it too lean or rich.for any other particular problems, just shoot. we all will be glad to help

Utterly sorry to have totally missed your post, may be since you did not use @ before the names so it never showed up in the notification. Other than the good words from Honda_CBF , my first piece of advise to you is to get your bike inspected by a good and honest mechanic, be it in ASC or outside. You may also say "Hi" to @RyderPavan as he will be available locally to help you out in almost all cases

Just FYI, my bike under all stock settings return a FE of around 50 kmpl in normal running and the vibrations are evident at more than 65-70 kmph thanks to MOTUL 3000 4T Plus 10W30, with a top speed of 100 kmph at 9.8k revs.

Warm Regards,
Pranav

Some Updates @xpranav @Honda_CBF @ (sorry for late reply,utterly):

Had my bike serviced..
The guy:
1.Washed the bike,
2.Cleaned the carb,
3.Changed some bearings,
4.Got a tiny *yet having monstrous proposition* hole on the fuel tank sitting mightily just under seat fixed,
5.Got the engine oil changed (it had become really thick like some time more time & oil would have become powder, literally!!)
6.Front disc brakes were little jammed, got that fixed. etc

AND BOY WHAT DO I HAVE HERE!!

Reached 110 kmph going downhill on a flyover with full throttle & the bike felt as if it was raring to go further but I had to slow down cause of some traffic. And the way in which it moved from 85 to 110kmph was astounding & unbelievable..It moved very slowly between from 75 to 85 cause that was the uphill part..But going downhill, it blew me away..

Other thing which I think helped me reach this mark is cause I changed to 5th gear after using the full power of the 4th gear..previously i would shift to 5th at the speed of 40kmph..now i shifted at 60 kmph..!! Thats my opinion..point me if I am wrong on this..

On the mileage front, I havnt checked it yet..I feel too bored to check it apart from the point that I dont know how to do it..Some more help will be appreciated ( Just consider me a noob & stop laughing )

Also I have some more questions, can I fix a tachometer?
Have anyone done it?
If yes, whats the cost..?
Front wheelie at what rpms?
Thanks

I have been using 10W30 Motul mineral oil and it works great for me. I was once told by a senior xBhp-ian that using a mineral oil and changing it in quick intervals like 1500-1800 kms keeps the engine clean and fresh, and since then I have followed it religiously.

If you look in the brochure it says "11 NM torque at 6500rpm", keeping this in mind if you make shifts at 6500 rpm the bike will shoot ahead with its max available torque in any gear and hence will help you catch a better speed.

to get good FE out of stunner one should keep the engine revs at around 4500-5000 rpm in any gear. It may help you attain somewhere of 50-55kmpl with a standard petrol on a regularly maintained stunner. Remember the bike has a 2 lts of reserve, and so make a count of bike's run (in kms from speedo console) by dropping in a litre of petrol and running the bike in conditions (city/highway) of your choice.

carry a total of 2 Liters of petrol in 2 separate 1 Lt. bottles in a backpack when you are about to reach the reserve limit. As soon as the bike demands to use the reserve pour in one bottle and run the bike to count the Kms. Use the next bottle as soon as the bike demands again after the previous 1 Lt. has been used.

Here in Mumbai its not allowed at all!!
And can fuel be removed from Stunner?
Is it possible..i heard from someone that its not possible..never gave this thing another thought thereafter..

never had any need like such to look for petrol in bottles, so no idea ............ and yes you can drain petrol out of stunner but only after unscrewing the fiber panel which actually covers all that and thus saves us from petrol-jacking

Petrol pumps everywhere in the country are forbidden by rules to dispense fuel in unusual containers . To get petrol like that you'd need to carry a proper fuel jerry-can . However a humble request usually works here , so try that .
