Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
COntinue with the same oil, don't worry ............ till the warranty period (generally 1 year) it is always recommended to stick with the OEM oil which is mostly a mineral oil (the white bottle in case of Honda) and after it switch to the one of your liking and comfort.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostPranav, where you stay in Delhi, let me know your phone no.. through email or sms.

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
Hi Buddy,
What is the cost of back panel right above saree gaurd ...
Today when i was cleaning my bike i found the back cover which was just above saare gaurd is not properly placed or you can say it is slightly opened ( i will post that pic soon).
First i thought that some screw went off due to bad roads, but when i open both seat i found the red portion (place above black one) is not properly fitted as a result, the place where screw entered in red portion it slight tilt towards left.
I imdtly left the same and will raise this issue during my servicing. But somehow if they are not interested in changing the same, I will replaced the same myself.
So just want to know what will be the cost of that plastic panel.I dont know how that happened.Last edited by jammbuster; 11-14-2013, 11:48 AM.

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
Comeon... frds.. WAKE UPPPPP
Yesterday at 755km first service completed.
They used 10:30 honda oil as recommended in manual too.
What's the speed i need to maintain now..... till today i never crossed 40 kmh and 4000 rpm.
Now its difficult to control hand
.. please advice can i touch 60 kmh and increase RPM above 4000.
Infact, yesterday gave TS to my mom (of course a pillion ride for about 8 km) she had not complaint me about any height issue or other things.
What's more .... shall drive normally which is above 40 kmh to 60kmh..????

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
hey jammbuster, now you can get upto 6k kms easily.. and its also good to occasionaly go around 6.5-7k rpms also. but dont stay there for long. less than a minute.
and regarding that back pannel; get it fixed soon else its fixture/gromet will get damaged. (mine's damaged, applied m-seal.
)
and regarding oil grade, I've always used xxW40 and somtimes 20w50 too (in summers) and nothing happened. dont think too much about it. most important is the oil change interval..
and dont use honda oil with JASO MB grade. it'll make your clutch slip. that oil is for scooters like Activa.
Kafi din baad Xbhp aaya.. feeling good

thanks buddy, i changed to 10:30w grade oil from service center, currently my bikes completes 1230km.
Sometime i feel problem in clutch like 1-Neutral-2 and again 2-N-1.
Upto how many kms i need to stick with 10:30w recommended oil, as mentioned in service manual.
Which engine oil you recommend "castrol active" seems to be good for this bike. What you suggest on this.
Also i want to change my bike front sprocket, for better top end speed, currently my bike felt exhausted after 55km.
Regarding that back panel , they changed rubber type housing , after that the gap is somehow reduced, now 10% left, which is OK with me...
One thing i inquired regard NITRO gas shocker ( for pulsar150cc) is it a direct fit ..?????

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
your gear shift quality will keep improving till ~10k kms.. and i think stunner's gearbox is not as good in quality as other hero/honda bikes.. anyways, what I'm using is a diesel oil Rimula R3x 15w40. and I recommend it to all bikers I meet
I just love it.. works like semi-synth, but is a mineral oil.
honda oil doesnt last long. change it at around 1000-1200kms. and castrol active 20w40 was the worst oil i ever used.
sprocket change can be done easily. but it may hanmper with warranty. so if you do it, shift back to original sprocket before going to svc.
re; that NITRO shock, I'm clueless. but why do you want to change it? want softer rear?? (No, its not pun intended)

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
petrol oil in diesel engine can cause problem, but as far as my and other member's knowledge goes an oil which doesnt make a bike clutch slip, must not cause any damage. and for the arguments sake, molybdenum is the element which causes clutch slippage, is absent in old school heavy duty diesel engine oil..
still, if you wanna stick with bike oils prefer:
any valvoline oil
vedool take off 4t
mak 4t
elf moto 4 pro
All these are really good oils..

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
Hi Frds, hopes you all are doing great with this bike.
Yesterday met with an accident while returning back from my office to home. This incident happened right in front of DABARI Mod, New Delhi police station where construction of flyover is going on since last ten years(I don’t know what they are making ).
While taking turn on left side coming from straight road, a cyclist who was at my left side suddenly change his position in order or avoid him
I applied break as my bike speed is nearly 25-30 km. that cyclewala having earphone on both of his ears(may be listening to songs or fm on both ears)
But I think a main culprit here is the TVS tyre and a cemented road which have sand due to construction.
I fell on my left side result a pain on my left shoulder along with some burses on my left leg and one cut on my left foot.
Luckily there is no scratch on plastic body of my bike, but leg guard and saare guard took all impact, also my bike left mirror is broken.
Now a suggestion from you ppls please suggest a best tubeless Tyre for this bike, which provide best grip in all city traffic condition...My current bike's reading is 2230km, only 2 months old
The main impact of this accident is on my mother, she is now not interested in allowing me to ride any two wheeler....Last edited by jammbuster; 12-19-2013, 12:44 PM.

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
You should first watch this video. Download it from here. It will help you improve your skills a lot. Moreover, such accidents do happen over the spread sand, therefore my signature reads "Use riding gears because Safety doesn't happen by Accident". That TVS tyre is good if not the best for the said purpose. Allow your wound to heal first and then invest wisely over the gears and the bike repairs. Change that shobby free helmet first.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostBut I think a main culprit here is the TVS tyre and a cemented road which have sand due to construction.
BTW were you present at the dhaba on this Sunday for the flickr ride ?
