Hi Pranav, thanks a lot for a positive response. Was considering Discover 125ST and Hero Ignitor as well as Yamaha SS125. However, the reviews tilted better towards Stunner and now with another thumbs up for you, am sure i wont go wrong in my decision.
May be this comparo would help you.
    My advise (preference wise):
    1. Stunner
    2. Discover 125ST
    3. Ignitor

well, I never had any problem exceeding 95 (with 14T front sprocket and 95 comes at around 9.5k rpm in 5th gear), then I back off.. because reving engines so high is taking little life out of them (me being over cautious ) with 15T front sprocket, It can do 105+ , but then again i back off from 100. I'm saying it can do 105+ because the way the revs climb.. i can tell one can exceed red line. BTW, whenever I come around 8k rpm (of course in 5th gear), I let my chest rest on the tank.. line of sight is just above from the visor. its very uncomfortable position but it gets the job done. without crouching, there wont be any good thrust beyond 9k rpm..

          ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Frostneo, May be I'm little late but stunner and ignitor are on par.. almost. on ignitor, one gets a chain cover. its a kinda very very important for Indian condition. Further, a 'o' ring chain with chain cover will last really good. (my friends chain set on zmr used to last around 30k kms with negligible maintenance) also, power and torque output are same for both bikes but ignitor is a little efficient at it, I mean ignitor needs to be rev less (exactly 1k rpm less for same torque and power) so I guess roll-on times on ignitor would be better. further, hero is giving 5 years warranty!! So for me Ignitor scores marginally better against stunner..And SS125.. is a tall geared bike with similar grunty engine, so this bike is more relaxed than the other two. and this bike also vibrates less (deal breaker??) but the problem with this bike can be spares, as its not a super hit out come from yamaha stable. else its really a good bike.one more thing, stunner and ignitor has a little sportier sitting position compared to ss125 (this was the deal breaker for me )

hmmmm ....... this O-ring stuff is special ............ can we use that same O-ring chain on the stunner ?? what modifications may it demand ??

by the way, one may avail that 5 yrs warranty on any Honda bike under the disguised name of "extended warranty" with a little extra payment at the time of purchase

I think you should look out for HID lamps with ratings not above 35w/35w

                Hi Guys,
Booked my Stunner Green colour today

Will get in about 2 weeks time. Bought from the showroom itself as sub/multiple bike dealer asked for a premium of 5k for a weeks time delivery.

Thanks for suggestions and views everyone. The previous posts will help me understand my bike and its problems as discussed.

                Happy Riding.

Yes, i have mentioned this on another thread (dont remember were though), regarding 'extended warranty' thingy. you pay less than 900rs (i think varies from bike to bike) for an extended warranty i.e. 2+3yrs.
this warranty stuff beyond a certain period doesn't work out unless you are or have a 'chamcha' on the inside in a ASC
how many ppl go to the SVC after the first couple of yrs.. negligible.. do the math (and marketing)

Actually before availing these extended benefits it is always recommended to understand the range of damage/repair which lie within the legal possibilities of that extended contract ......... and they are indeed helpful only when you realize how to use them (I recently had a friend with CBR 250 who was saved through this) .........

on the other hand "an insider" is always a boon at any office

                    Warm Regards,

I have read quite a few reviews of the stunner and contemplating on buying one. However being a 2010 model, will be worth to invest into. Also those members like CBF_Stunner, Paul, Balaji - can you guys give one more opinion whether to go or should i look for other options in the 125cc segment.

go for ss125....It is better in refinement, top end performance, quality and finding spares in metro cities will not be a problem. Stunner vibrates after 70kph whereas ss125 will not vibrate even at 100+

Honda equipped stunner with o ring chain from 2010. Anybody can get it from spare parts dealer. . About warranty I don't care much about it. If the bike has lasted 1year w/o issues then it will last pretty long, of course periodic maintenance is super important. But many thinks of warranty as build quality & peace of mind so I stated that..
