Finally got Amaron 9 AH battery fitted in my Stunner, along with a powerful charger. To be honest, a lot of work was involved but now I am happy that my bike's eletricals are in a full DC setup and I can fit many more electrical accessories and use HID / Xenon headlight all day without any worries.

      List of work carried out:

      1. New Amaron 9 AH battery (Cost Rs 1700 with exchange of old battery)
      2. Piaggio APE Rectifier / Charger - Rs 1050
      3. Welding of battery box as new battery is much larger - Rs 300
      4. Ungrouding the charging coil of stator / alternator at electrician - Rs 50
      5. Service charge of Mechanic (Installation and wiring) - Rs 250

If anyone needs any info on DC. conversion of Stunner then feel free to message me.

Tune the vibration?? unable to understand bro, do you mean how do they reduce vibrations?? If so, then they dont.
they may do a service, a carb tune up, tighten up some bolts etc but its not going to be a miracle. by max you can get ''Unicorn's handle bushes'' and get it installed. again its not going to eliminate vibes, but it works like a charm "

          Oil filter strainer cleaned!

I started with draining the old engine oil and unscrewing the Kicker, the side stand and the clutch cable assembly. Next unscrewed the crankcase cover bolts. It took some time to take off the cover by hammering it lightly.(I used the normal hammer wrapped with thick cloth layer).

          After removing the Crankcase cover

The crankcase cover - gasket came along with the crankcase and made the job easy.

This is after cleaning the filter. Just held it under running water and used tooth brush to get rid of some pieces.

Used this genuine honda gasket on the cr.case cover (Bought it for Rs.102/- from Haiku Honda service centre-Domlur). Used a knife to remove old gasket, I did it carefully as to not damage the metal part.

After cleaning the Oil filter strainer, I fitted the cr.cover back with new gasket. I have poured Shell AX7 engine oil this time. I was using AX5 earlier. Will have to see if there will be any major difference in engine smoothness. But in any case I am happy that the engine is clean. Really enjoyed doing this myself .......

I think it should be cleaned in petrol and not running water

Great info shared bro !! Most mechanics are not even aware of these filters...according to them Hondas have single filter, air filter.

is centrifugal filter cleaned too ??

Tap the screws using a blunt end punch and a hammer before trying to loosen them using a screwdriver.
Better still, get a impact driver like this. It is cheap , can loosen screws with ease and that too without stripping their head.

That is highly overpriced for a paper gasket !

                            Thanks,

After cleaning the oil filter, I just dried it completely and installed it back. Didn't soak it in new engine oil. I think it's not needed as it's not a paper element.

Yes it's recommended to clean with petrol but just took it lightly as it'll be soaked in oil all the time and there's no chance for corrosion!. Before re-installing, I've thoroughly dried it.

Thank you. I was able to do it only because someone else had shared how to DIY!.

I just removed the centrifugal filter cap, cleaned it and re-installed it, not much needed for that.

Yes I also felt that the centrifugal filter cap was tight. It's actually like Lunch box lid!!, just try to rotate slightly and pull it out.

As per Honda manual, it's ideal to clean the oil filter strainer at the very first service, then on 3rd and 6th services and then at every 6,000 kms. Centrifugal filter should also be cleaned at the first service and after that for every 12,000 KMS.

Thank you. I am even more satisfied after using Shell AX7 as pick up has slightly increased and engine is revving a bit freely compared to earlier.

                              Hi,
Bought my bike recently in May however the manual that came is in marathi & after repeated follow ups for a english version there is no revert since past 2 months.

If anyone can provide a soft copy of manual, would be grateful.

I have the new stunner which has tachometer added.

                              Anyother info required, do reply.

                              thanks.

I am quite confuse between stunner or ignitor.

Stunner costing me 62250rs( i like red and yellow color) and ignitor costing me 68000rs.

My Bio status..... I am 198cm in height and weight is 95 kgs (just measured) .... 6.6273 Foot

Pls advice wheather stunner will able to pull me without any issue. Also i want mileage not less than 50.

"Also just going through this thread is there any new bike is coming in replace of stunner"
