Finally y'day I have tunned the carb, results are good so far, the pick up is good compared to what I use to get before. As Honda_CBF said I have kept Air Fuel screw tunning at 3.75 turn its butter smooth at this position. Need to check mileage now

@ Honda stunner CBF, Xbhp got lots of Bangaloriens. try Bangalore g2g thread, they should know at least few good mechanics..

Yeah I have posted there. lets see I get any usefull info from them.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View Post@ Honda stunner CBF, Xbhp got lots of Bangaloriens. try Bangalore g2g thread, they should know at least few good mechanics..
Bro tunning the carb didn't work either I am still getting mileage around 35 - 40. I travel nearly 30 km a day and cant afford the present mileage.
Sadly if I am not able to sort out the mileage issue then I have no option left to sell the bike off

check rotation of wheels, they should be free, if front wheel is disk barke equipped then its ok to have some restriction there but it should not be enough to cause you exert force to rotate the wheel, also there shouldn't be any lateral movement/play in the wheels. 2nd, are you sure that you are getting quality fuel & in a quantity you pay for? Try changing gas stations.. 3rd, try getting a compression check done. 4th, what method are you using to gauge mileage? Keep in mind that longer you take to measure mileage, the lesser the score will be.Originally posted by Honda Stunner CBF 2008Oct View PostBro tunning the carb didn't work either I am still getting mileage around 35 - 40. 1. Yeah I have tried different fuel pumps, but some where heard shell petrol give good performance and mileage need to loacate one shell pump near by
2.Front disk break
they aren't fix bro, I am riding the bike from couple of weeks without front brakes and yes I have checked the front wheel movement its fine.
3. Compression check, ok I will get it done.
4. I measure the mileage like reserve to reserve method and regarding my driving style most of the time it will around 40 Kmph to 50 Kmph.
Earlier the mileage was pretty decent near to 50 Kmpl. Bro somewhere heard about de carbonizing the engine, is it required?

Decarbonising can help. But its not sure. If your engine has some compression loss then even after decarbonization mileage will stay almost same. But it is recommended to be done at around every 20-25k kms.So first get the compression test done. Wet & dry both. I'm getting news of compression loss on Honda bikes early these days. Even my bike has little compression loss, haven't tested it but i know

Need views regarding AFR, timing, pinging etc looking at my spark plug's pics. here's the link: https://picasaweb.google.com/1086705...CI_xl6bKvPqbfg

Your Ignition timing seems advanced and needs retarding......by the looks of the center electrode .Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostNeed views regarding AFR, timing, pinging etc looking at my spark plug's pics. here's the link: https://picasaweb.google.com/1086705...CI_xl6bKvPqbfgWhen Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

^ the ring area you mentioned is exactly 0.506mm. and i dont think anyone has fiddled with timing.. Anyway can you tell me how to retard it? Also, in the opposite side of center electrode, the ring area is ~0.2 mm..

Plannin to change the stock one..its already damaged during recent accident...Instead of going for a stock one..planning to go for FFE wid smooth sound!! Most of them would be local but not calibrated with stunner. If anyone has any info, lemme know.!!..Those who wish to control their own lives and move beyond existence...Ride a Bike :)
