tyre selector at their website doesn't show any option for front. its 80/100-17. And I don't see great reviews of Dunlop Monster some say its waste ans some say its ok.. seems like its a hard compound.I need something with medium-soft compound..Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostDunlop Mystery at front and Dunlop Monster at rear.

I run the Dunlop Monster Trail at Rear, and even though its an off road tire it sticks like glue on tarmac, and have never given up even while taking aggressive lean angles. The only downside is that, like its on road counterpart Dunlop Monster it also suffers from premature wear due to the extra soft compound, I dont expect mine to last past 20~25k kms max. The negative review about the tire is because it doesnt last long enough, but well, another thing to consider is that this thing only costs almost half the cost of PSD and offers similar grip, what more can you expect ???Originally posted by Honda_CBF View Posttyre selector at their website doesn't show any option for front. its 80/100-17. The tire selector is crap, why not give this a shot.

Ok.. So dunlop monster has put a tick mark on most of the boxes. Just one question though, is it puncture prone?? Asking because you say its extra soft compound.. Btw, what size are you on? . Regarding front i think 100/90 is too big. Can't find any tyre in 80/100 size except those useless tvs

Front upped from 2.75-18 to 3.00-18
Rear upped from 100/90-18 to 110/90-18
I have a doubt, 80/100 is same as 100/80 right? Cause normally when we say 110/90 it means 90% of width profile is side profile.Motorcycling Experience:

I too have doubt with this profile thing.. Check my latest post in the tyres thread. But I'm sure about one thing. 100/80 is much bigger than 80/100.

Honda Stunner Mileage issue, experts need your help!!!!!
Hello Everyone,
I own a Honda Stunner CBF october 2008 model. These days I am facing mileage issues with the bike, the mileage has dropped as low as 35 to 40 kmpl.
I came across many post over here which has good information on tunning the bike up. But I dont have much knowledge on the bike mechanics so I went to a mechanic for a full servicing and told the mileage issue and asked him to tune it.
So when he was working on my bike I was around to check if he does everything correctly. I have read many post here thru which I come to know many aspects of bike thanks for the site to have such usefull information about bikes. So as per I have read here bike mileage can go down on these below aspects
1. Spark plug : When the bike mechanic opened the spark plug the color was the tip was white no black or brown deposits, so this part is fine
2. Carburettor: It should be clean, yes when it was opened it was pretty clean even he cleaned with some petrol, so its fine
3. Tappets: I am unaware of this part of the bike where are they located ?? I guess mechanic didn't checked this. I came to know that tappets adjustment has its effects on mleage. am I correct???
4.Vave Settings: I asked him to check it but he said its fine and even told we should not touch it, if the settings get spoiled mileage can go down even further.
5. Air Fuel Screw: I asked him set the this screw for correct air fuel mixture but again same answer he told if we touch it even mileage can go down as the setting is very sensitive.
6. Tyre; They are perfectly alright and every 2 weeks I check them and maintain the proper tyre pressure.
7. Chain: During the servicing it has been cleaned and chain tension is resetted back.
So Guys please help me out what else need to be checked anything I am missing out here and also give your suggestion on it.

spark plug electrode color should be brown or black, but without any deposits. White means bike is running lean. For this Air Fuel Ratio screw is to adjusted. Ask your mechanic to follow the method mentioned in service manual, else complain to authorities. Also is spark plug is ~10,000kms old then change it. . Change air filter if its 1yr or 10,000kms old. .Tappet adjustment/valve adjustment is same thing. Full details regarding this is present in owner's manual under, valve clearance adjustment. . Get all these things done/checked then we will further trouble shoot. By the way how old is your bike in terms of kms??Originally posted by Honda Stunner CBF 2008Oct View Post1.
