okay guys..i would like to update that, i had to change the clutch plate ad the whole sprocket chain set because they were worn out..i even asked my friend, who is a mechanic of the garage i usually give for service, to power tune the bike..i even complaint that my topend is less inspite of putting the k&n filter, later after checking he tells me that the k&n filter was not placed properly and the bike rubber vent was blocking the flow of air through..saying that he went on that he will put a pipe in between to prevent any block in the flow of air...i agreed
after all the service and getting it back..i was desperate the test the top end...went on state highway and because of the hump's on the road the i could only reach 90...
today i went on the longest flyover in india which is located along the hosur road.about 12kms...traffic very very less...time morning 8:00am...thought to test the top end...the bike could reach 114-115kmph...i was ecstatic when i saw speedometer between 114 and 115kmph....
now since i have power tuned ii probably will be getting a lesser mileage.....will update you on that as soon as i find out the kmpl..

my advice...if your putting k&n do get a pipe along with it to make it a thrilling ride..

P.S.. top speed 114kmph achieved only by k&n filter and power tuning....

hmm.. nice job. only one question, those RVM's look low on hight.. are they practical? I mean can you see the road & traffic behind you better than stock??

hope you've also (along with power tuning) re-jeted the carb.
btw, mods like K&N, power tuning, FFE etc wont increase top speed, it only help you reach there faster.
p.s. Stock stunner does 100 kmph on speedo with tacho hovering at 10k rpm (redline) [That's where the top speed is as per company]

yup, rejetted..
such mods do both,they increase the bhp produced by the bike...power tuning has more effect on top speed, they boost 10kmph...compared to k&n, ffe 5kmph max...they do help to get there faster.....

yeah, they help produce more bhp & torque (around 0.5 bhp increment max) and thereby reaching top speed quicker but they dont help in top speed front (it can only be done by altering gearing).
By increase in top speed you may mean (i guess so) increase in maximum speed.
P.s. Top speed is max speed possible without going past redline (10k rpm in stunner) i.e. Without damaging engine
and max speed is max speed possible, whatever hell tachometer reading is.

i dont have a rev meter...but i achieved that speed at 10k rpm..throttle completely twisted to the max in 5th gear..yeah i meant max speed thanks for the correction

wait.. You said you dont have rev meter and then you are saying you were at 10k rpm.. :/
how do you know??
If you're thinking full throttle means redlining then its wrong, there are bikes which can't redline in top gear (easily) like ZMA and there are bikes which can hit rev limiter even in top gear (easily) like cbf, rtr.. Etc.
What i mean to say that; (according to me) you were riding at more that 10k rpm.

may be but isnt the new stunners having a max throttle of 10k rpm...so like wise i thought mine too would be same...
if mine goes more then 10k rpm(maybe) would that make the 2008 stunners faster then the later models??
