And another thing, its not a 115 watt bulb. Its a 55/60 watt bulb in which i can use both filaments at the same time, if i want.

dont know, but i agree it can burn. But still, i dont think any damage will happen in short city rides (always less than 30mins) even if damages happen, i dont care reason being reflector is already partly ruined because once water leaked into head lamp.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View Post

I enquired today about the "viscous" filter price for CBF Stunner. The size and shape is different from Dazzler's. The price is 177 rupees.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostHey fellow stunner owners, need to know about the price of stunner's airfilter (paper type & viscous type, both) and want to know, both are inter-changeable or not.
A pic of paper type filter may also help.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

That so called viscous filter (if purchased from parts counter) is nothing but a green coloured paper filter, no oil is present in it.
Honda is cheating us in clear terms.
only true viscous filter was supplied with bike.

Its not true. The viscous oil in the paper will not be visible. The oil quantity is in very less amounts that you can't see with naked eye.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostThat so called viscous filter (if purchased from parts counter) is nothing but a green coloured paper filter, no oil is present in it.

but my earlier filter (the one that came with bike) used to smell like oil and it can't be dusted (it behaved like foam filter).and my current filter can be dusted & it didn't smelled like oil when new.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostIts not true. 1st filter went black (due to dust accumulation) in 7k kms. But my current filter is still green & usable after 14k kms of use. With all these observation i come to the conclusion i mentioned. But now I'm confused after your reply..

Dude, I owned the Stunner for a little more than a year so never had to change the stock air filter. So I can't tell you the exact price of the same. Also, as far as I know, Honda is using the same air filter for the Stunner and the Shine (and also Twister probably) so it should be available with all Honda dealers. Why don't you give them a call and ask about the price?Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostHey fellow stunner owners, need to know about the price of stunner's airfilter (paper type & viscous type, both) and want to know, both are inter-changeable or not.

Also, I'm not sure if the paper type and viscous air filters are interchangeable. A good mechanic should be able to answer that question. Why do you want to switch to a viscous air filter anyway? What's wrong with the paper type filter?Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

^^ I want to switch to paper type, from viscous type.. Not vice-versa. Because I feel Honda is cheating in the name of viscous filter (refer my previous posts). 2nd reason being its costly (for me
)
and 3rd reason is, its not available in my city.
When asked to svc people if its interchangeable, they said "dont use any other filter as it will cause damage to engine" which is a false statement.
Edit: will look out for the similarity between shine, stunner & twister. Thanks for the info..Last edited by Honda_CBF; 06-25-2012, 09:56 PM.

Well, rear seat height can cause some trouble while putting yourself on or of. And if you can manage with only one leg on ground (while stopping or staying stationary at traffic) instead of both legs then there won't be any problem riding itOriginally posted by Shibaprasad View PostI am 5'5'' and bit heavier.......is stunner ok for me?
Another thing I'd like to mention that stunner's ride quality is on the stiffer side, many dont like it.
Do test ride it well before buying.

@hondacbf- I have sent a reply to your Pm, have a look.
@shibaprasad- All honda and hero bikes have stiffer suspension and are generally taller than their competitors. But i like stiffer suspension while it may not be true for you. So first check out then go for any conclusion. Remember both honda and hero comes with very stiff suspension.Photo of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/854067-post963.html-3.88 lac km cont....Ownership review of my joy- http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/832255-post608.html- slowly updating as and when getting time. Yes, of course...that's what I meant. It was a typo...Originally posted by Honda_CBF View Post^^ I want to switch to paper type, from viscous type.. Not vice-versa. Because I feel Honda is cheating in the name of viscous filter (refer my previous posts). 2nd reason being its costly (for me

I know that the Stunner comes with a viscous air filter as stock

Hi CBF125 owners especially carb ones. We know that the gearing on the carb stunner is too short and the bike runs above 4k rpm even in the lower gears very soon. I am thinking of changing my sprockets to that of the Fi version of stunner. Would that help gearing and mileage. Will it have adverse effects on mileage or engine? And what would be the cost?
Also my bike has done around 4.3K kms. I don't have much idea about engine oils and I just use what the SVCs put. Shall I ask them to put some specific engine oil for my next service (going next weekend)?Whats there in a signature?

Carb cbf has 14/43 set where as cbf fi has 14/42 teeth set (according to senior members). So there's only 1-2kmph increase in a given rpm and negligible changes in mileage.
I and cmahajan have changed to unicorns 15t front sprocket and can see 4-5 kmph increase in speed. Highway mileage is increased and city mileage is same.

Hi mate. Thanks for the info. So is it beneficial to change to 15t front (and what about the rear?) Even 4-5 kmph would be quite better. Also I am getting 40kmph in city sane riding which is less for this bike and I feel engine to be stressed at higher rpm (also because of too short gearing) so I would probably change it. Can you pls roughly give me some rough cost estimate. I dont have idea about it.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostCarb cbf has 14/43 set where as cbf fi has 14/42 teeth set (according to senior members).
