Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
Hello Frds,
My Bike completed almost 200km in four days, in this weekend i am planning to change Engine oil, please advice what is the recommended engine oil, what is the grade, which is best engine oil.
As i am travelling from Home to office daily, which also include rough road along with lot of dust, did i need to use spray for CHAIN..???
If yes, then what are they.. (for cleaning as well as for lube)
In Continuation with my above post..
I want to know some more knowledge on modification part too (its so early to ask but its better to get some knowledge)
1) did anyone install HID kit in this bike... (if yes please provide me details)
2) Did any one used full fairing on this bike (see the attachment)
3) Did any one install dual horn (like pulsar) in this bike....Last edited by jammbuster; 10-31-2013, 01:21 PM.

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
1. Go for a projector, as only HID will blind the oncoming traffic and rto mamus fine for it. You can get projector with inbuilt angel/devil eyes and inbuilt HID and ballast, fuse etc for about 1500-1600 and if you opt for only HID, you may get it for 900-1000. However, there is a risk of the reflectors melting after long duration of use if only HID is used without projector and is illegal too. Projectors with hid are legalOriginally posted by jammbuster View PostHello Frds,

2. I once thought of putting an r15 on my 2008 stunner, but didnt find a guy who can do it perfectly. If u dont find a good welder, it will b a spoiled job, but if you find the right person, stunner will look awesome with the r15 fairing. The fairing costs anywhere from 2k to 4k here in cst road, kurla, mumbai.
2. Dual horn, a friend did put it on, no effect on the battery though, but if you going for projector/hid, i think you should do a little more research before doing so to avoid stress on battery.
You can opt for motul chain spray or 90W gear oil frm motul. Both give equal level of smoothness but gear oil is way cheaper, however, spray is good for dusty conditions but for monsoons, its not good at all. 2 showers and the spray gets vanished.

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
@jammbuster ............. please avoid your thoughts on oil or anything till you cover up the warranty period .............. the recommended grade of oil is 10W30 as given in the manual ......... you should read it atleast once
For mods you should always fall in hands of some real expert and in Delhi we have KRP in Narayana Kaulson Racing ...... GO !!!!!!!!!!!! For KRP get in touch with them to work out your plans
happy now

I think using any other oil than the Honda one will void the warranty .......... but please cross check my words from the ASC guysOriginally posted by jammbuster View PostThanks.. Buddy... Yep i already gone thru the manual (its hindi)... Before reading ur post i got tht inf...

In the meantime i searched a lot for honda 10:30 oil which mentioned in manual too. Even my know mechanic told me its honda monopoly on this oil ratio

So today i put castrol active 20:40 oil my current reading is 430km some how this needs to be replaced at 700km or next sunday as my daily routine is approx 80km.

Re: Honda 125 Stunner CBF
It is ok if you choose to switch from one brand to another, but never listen to anyone to shift from the recommended grade of oil. That is no to 20W40 and yes to 10W30, with any genuine bottle of your choice. And make a choice among the brands and stick to it. I use Welcome to Motul and the 900 ml bottle comes at 210/- . Avoid castrol, because there are many many fakes available in the market and they are damn hard to distinguish. Pick from Shell, Motul, Servo (Indian Oil), Gulf etc whichever is easily available to you.Originally posted by jammbuster View PostBro... Who will tell them....
