      one of my first crashes were on the eliminator, difference being, the front forks were more kicked out and longer than the current avenger, and it had a fatter rear tyre.

      Yes, if he braked while turning, and that too the front brake, it will lock up, and skid the bike. You should either know how much front brake to use during a turn, or avoid using as far as possible. The high rake angle on the avenger aggravates this problem. But its not a issue with bike stability, its an issue with the rider, since every bike will handle differently( unless of the same model )

        Really, its with the rider...Initially I got grounded once while trying a bigger radius turn and when the bike went off control I applied the front brakes....zoommmm skidded through half a metre!

                  With me & aravindraju on his bike the centerstand scrapes every damn small humps ..

                          my 1 friend bought avenger 200c before 1 year. now for some reasons he is selling it in 55k. its just 300kms run & never seen highway streets. should i get it?? its excellently maintained.. just 1 ques, whats mileage of 200cc in cities???

                            Only 300 km .......It is a steal, go for it dude. I am also a happy owner of this babe from last two months...... It simply rocks in terms of looks and head turning style........Fit a windshield and saddle bags and you will be noticed even more than kawasaki ninja........
                            And regarding mileage, it is 35 -40 in cities and 45 on highways...........

                                Hey Pratham,
                                Really sorry for replying so late, just missed this thread! In case you are still vying your options on your friend's Avy, I would suggest : "Go For It". If you just love cruising with your knees bent at large angles..then Avenger is the best on offer!
                                If it has never seen highways, 3000 kms is an okay run, considering an avg of 250 kms a month. Make sure you get it checked by a nearby Probiking mechanic, just to check if the engine is doing good. The other things wont trouble you a lot.
                                Mileage ..umm depends a lot on your driving and also on the city in which you live.If you live in a crowded city with narrow roads subjecting you to more gear shifts, you can expect a 35 kmpl for a decently maintained Avy. If you ask me, I get a whopping 41 at Bhubaneswar!
