    Avenger Service

Guys, Can any Avenger owner from Bangalore help me here? I have an Avenger and I have been looking for a decent place where I can get it serviced regularly.
After my free services exhausted, the paid service experience had been a sad affair. I have been looking for an alternate service center. Tried Castrol bike zone, Basaveswarnagar and Rajajinagar (Both closed down now for their pathetic service ). Tried some private mechanics too but nobody seems to understand the Avenger. I am looking for a decent mechanic in-around Rajajinagar, Basaveswarnagar, Malleswaram.

        New Avenger

Guys I have heard that there is a new Avenger which is going to get launched, most probably with a 220 CC engine. Does anybody have any idea about it or it is just another rumour, and if they are going to launch a new model then will there be only a engine change or some change in look of the bike as well

I had seen an Avenger with a temp plate near chakan, the bike had everything of 200 on it and seemed normal... I just saw it and found something strange with it! it seemed a bit different (actually I end up scanning all Bajaj bikes around that area!)...
the best part was that the number plate had the words which read like "Seat test for Avenger 220" (220 or 210 - I doubt it would be 210)

Dont have pics or anything to "Prove" anything to you... !

Will Avenger be fine with my case???

                  Hi,
I am 5 feet 11 inch tall and travel almost 60 kms to n fro to reach office and back home. Please let me know which bike should I go with to travel this everyday.
I am impressed with some of the reviews about Avenger, which gives a cruiser like experience. Please let me know if this will be ok for my requirement. Will I have any problem due to my height with this bike(As mentioned somewhere)? Though mileage is not that great a factor for me since I am looking for more stress free, back pain less and pleasant drive, how is the mileage of the Avenger of 220 and 200 and which one of them is better.
Any other bike. Suggestions and advice on this would be of great help. Thanks.

well.. Avenger is a cruiser for Good roads and highways allright.
And straight seating position with upright leg's position feels heavenly on highways.

But for tall people it 'looks' a bit small and odd.. better take a test ride and see how you fell. try to take test ride on a highway (may be a friend's) and then see it..
220 means more power.. and thats always good with those fat tires and heavy bike on highways..

                    cheers!!

                      Thanks

                      Hi Nitin,
Thanks alot. I will definitely do a test ride and check the same. In the meanwhile I also wanted to inform thta I am living in Bangalore, distance from office to home is almost 27 kms and it is in heavy traffic. So now, if not avenger, which one do you suggest me?? I dont want back pain from riding bike for almost 56 kms everyday (that is the primary reason why I thought of cruiser: Avenger, Affordable, ok mileage and comfy). Thanks for your suggestions in advance.

Consider the Unicorn,Unicorn Dazzler or GS150R if the Avvy doesn't suit you. I feel the GS150R or the Dazzler would fit ur requirements.

Hello , Today i went to Shriram Bajaj (Thane) while coming back from some work and yea...there was Avy220 standing in Showroom immediately i started asking about its Price and other things like average and all here r details

Bike Price On road:- 79650/- + including registration and Insurance :- 85336/- INR
Its a Normal Avenger with 220cc and 19Bhp . There is absolute no change in other parts like Disk/Rim or Speedo meter and ignition key position . Showroom guy said Avy220 will easily cross 130kmph mark and expected average is 30-35kmpl in decent riding ..
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.
