    To my understanding these are teh wieghts inside the handle to reduce vibrations, put them back otherwise you face vibration issues.

      True , non Fi engines are easily repairable and thats why i asked . That carburetor engines are easily repairable and this being a tourer , is that the psyche of Bajaj also for not upgrading it to Fi ? Atleast both the versions be made available and let the customers choose . I do not know if bajaj does not have a good technology on Fi . Dominar is based on Fi and have not heard any issues of it , related with Fi . In today's world of collaboration and outsourcing , can it be said they do not have good technology on Fi or is it unwillingness on their part ?

          Read my post again, there was the DTSFI puslar 220 that suffered a lot of problems, hence it was discontinued, there is no question of options in that segment. The current FI tech is based on the KTM's which are not known to make cruisers.

            The DTS-FI engine was the first fuel injected bike in india, which needs minimum 2L of fuel to be maintained always. I have seen many not maintaining it and it caused problems. Also, our fuel quality had its share too. That motor was very reliable in my case. Rode almost 60K on it. never had any issue. Few sensors failed, because of irregular maintenance.

            Non FI engines are easily repairable is a Myth. FI engines are more easy, but you need to know how the system works. The injectors are pretty easy to clean, but you need to know how to do it. if you do it once, you will hate Carb engines. If you are having starting issues, just replace the fuel filter instead of cleaning the whole carb. Simple.

              Few questions to all the Bajaj avenger 150 street owners.

              1. How's the pick up/ acceleration on your bike?
              2. How's the mileage?
              3. Highest speed you can ride your bike, without feeling like the engine is struggling

              My bike is about 8 months old , about 4k on odo and the mileage has taken a big hit, I feel like the bike struggling at even speeds on 70kmph.

                OK, but its still hard to believe that Bajaj , neither they have nor are they willing to acquire the tech , for the Fi . ABS was newly introduced in RS 200 and then began coming in other models . I really do not how things are acquired and move in automobile industry .

                    Hm its ok, one of the main things in any industry is to get returns for the investors ok? simple profit. Now there are roughly two ways to do so, first is that the manufacturer can sell premium products, or take profits from mass manufacture. Bajaj has the latter approach, by selling simple but ok products they have reaped lots of profits.

                    The only reason I believe the RS 200 got abs was that it was competing in the then, highly competitive 250 segment. I suppose if the intruder affect avenger sales, then we may see bajaj picking up the tech of it's competitors.

                      The pace is set by the foreign companies and Indian companies are sluggish , slow to pick up the pace . On the other hand we also see car manufacturers selling different variants , starting from the basic to the premium with airbags etc etc . If I remember it correctly , probably the Fi of BS4 Himalayan is from some other company . So , more than availability of the technology , perhaps Bajaj is unwilling to introduce Fi version of Avenger . Thinks it would not be commercially viable ? Or may be they are waiting to introduce newer technology with the Avenger 400 . Other question comes to mind , whether the hardcore tourers prefer the carburetor engines over the Fi engines .

                          Is back rest for rider available for rider/driver of 220 Street? It would be great to get back support while riding.

                            Just want to know, has any ever tried 100/80 R17 at front tire on your avenger given the wider contact path may give better results in panick braking?

                              You can fit cruise model back rest and there are aftermarket backrest for street atleast in my area. contact bajaj service center for back rest of cruise or try any local aftermarket accessories shop .
