At least here, I had the same depreciation (33%) in 2 years
Still not a bad deal for CBR250. About the Unicorn 160, it didn't sell much which is why the pricing is never good for it. I was looking to buy a Unicorn 160 a while back. The olx prices were discouraging.

That's ground clearance, he's asking the valve/tappet clearance.

set it to 0.10mm & 0.12mm on the exhaust and inlet valve respectively. see how it behaves (noise, starting issues, throttle response/pickup, idling).
these values are ok for most of the scooters out there today on our roads. a little more clearance is ok vs no clearance.

For the previous Access it was 0.05 IN and 0.10 mm EX according to their training video for technicians. A similar vehicle from Suzuki - the Step 125 allows 0.04-0.07 for inlet and 0.08-0.12 mm for exhaust (psr sir posted the shop manual long back). I don't know if the CR is changed for the new access. If no, should be more or less the same as Step 125.

Can anybody shed some light on the carburettor switch on the access 125 bs4 as well as the old one? How does it work? It deals with ignition timing, but how. Out of the two wires going to the switch one is ground and other goes to the CDI. Hv mostly seen potentiometer like TPS modules on carbs but this seems to be different, as it seems like a simple switch! BTW the carb is Ucal vm 18 - 258.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

BikerKid, can't say about the Access but there is a similar TP switch on the carburettor of my HH Passion Pro. It's basically a simple switch with two points. The CDI has two ignition maps and switches them accordingly using input from the TP switch. A 'click' sound is heard while twisting the throttle. These 100-125 cc commuter bikes/scooters use similar carbs so the TP switch should also be similar.

This might be slightly off topic but as good and practical the Access is, there are a couple of visual setbacks.
1) The rear wheel is tiny and narrow which kind of ruins the aesthetics, I mean, I can understand the mileage and flickability factor but somehow Suzuki has a penchant for making a couple of models with the "chicken legs" syndrome....Access, Burgman and Intruder.
2) Also, on the Access the rear panels are swooped slightly upwards but the exhaust is mounted almost parallel to the ground disrupting the visual flow. What doesn't help either is that the end can is shaped like a slab.

My question is since the Access and Burgman are the same beneath their respective body panels, can we swap the end can of the Access with the funkier looking one from Burgman? Here is how it would probably look...let me know if anyone has done this mod on this forum or thinks it may be possible without dismantling half the scooter?

Two legs and Two wheels. Add two more and they become crutches and cars.

• Would like some help here from anybody who tried a fork disassembly of the access. What's the size of the damper rod holder tool to be used? Is it a hex shape? I can't find much info on the internet nor a workshop manual (not the user manual) for the new Access. If anyone has a copy, please share. It'll be of great help for DIY jobs

• Hello Bhpians,

Found this thread on Suzuki Access 125 and hence putting my query here.

I own the 2021 BS6 model purchased in March. It’s one of the best scooter I must say and going great till now.

Now my issue, might be minor and lack of my knowledge may be.

Just got it washed yesterday and today I can hear weird noise from rear tyre. On keen look seen that there is the loose rubber assembly/ big mud guard ? On top side of the rear tyre. How to resolve this ?

Don’t want to rush to service centre and get bothered. Something DIY..
Please help/ guide.
Enjoy, Explore, Peace :)
