Ben Spies' decision to move to Pramac Ducati has some logic. I forgot to include this piece earlier in my post. Ducati needs a replacement for Nicky Hayden for 2014 or 2015 and Spies is targetting that factory Desmo bike. With Repsol able to arm wrestle HRC (And MotoGP itself!), the team is packed with 2 young Spaniards and they are good for another 2 years. So, moving to a satellite Honda won't benefit him much.

Yes but for the past two seasons the satellite Honda's are frequently beating the factory Ducati's.... But there is a logic behind what you say Ben has made a right move but we have to wait for the season to commence to see how he is performing with Ducati .....Originally posted by Makky View PostBen Spies' decision to move to Pramac Ducati has some logic. Actually Spies is keeping his options open with staying on a Ducati Satellite. If he does well, very good. If not, it was a rubbish bike in any case. Either ways he doesn't lose.Originally posted by Makky View PostBen Spies' decision to move to Pramac Ducati has some logic. I forgot to include this piece earlier in my post. If Audi sort out the bike by the end of the season, then he can take a shot at a factory ride. If not he is also hoping that Suzuki come back to Motogp, he will be the first pick for Suzuki as a lead factory rider.
It all depends on the results of the four Ducati riders this year. If Crazy Joe kicks some experienced butt, then he will be in line for a factory seat. A perfect combination for Ducati, fast rider who the fans like and an Italian.
Waiting for the Sepang Tests now...Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

@Dinesh and The Monk: At the end of the day, they all want a factory bike. Nobody wants to be a second fiddle.
Don't forget that Audi wants to fix their Ducati WSBK team also. So, if Spies doesn't find himself fit for MotoGP, he might very well jump into Ducati WSBK or some other team. As Monk pointed out, Suzuki 'll be looking to pouch some unlucky super talented young racer when they make a return.
@Braumabull: Welcome back, mate and its time to change that Ducati/46 picture of yours!

Couldn't stop myself from posting these here. These were what my alrimah had on it's doors until sometime back. Ahhh, I fell in love with these "race bikes" even before I learnt how to tie my shoelace and I simply loved the way they followed one another like a pack of ants 'bending' from left to right and right to left.
That's Eddie Lawson on his 1988 Marlboro Yamaha YZR500.

Wow...I can image how that might feel walking past these pics several times a day at such a young age. The looks of these would still make me rush with adrenaline at this age. Nice collection though.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
