Accepted that Yamaha will suit smooth riders like Lorenzo and Rossi but what we say about Cal Crutchlow he is not a smooth rider and how Dovi adopted to the machinery easily and got so many podiums in his first outing with Yamaha. When you see Ben Spies in a tight battle he will often loose the ground by taking wider lines or missing the braking point. This is an error which can happen with any bike...
Handling Yamaha and Honda is the same because of Japnese DNA. Okay let's take another victim who mastered 2 strokes and graduated to 4 strokes Loris Capirossi who did better with Ducati when compared to Rossi but never mastered the bike.
But let's take Troy Bayliss who came straight from WSBK and won few races for Ducati? so mastering a two stroke GP bike is never a criteria to master Ducati.
So next season we can get answers for:
Is Rossi still competitive?
Absolutely. But for the championship, I don't know.
Will Marquez be a title contender from 2014?
Probably
Did Tech 3 boss Herve made a right choice by signing Bradley smith?
Considering his options, probably
Will Ben Spies climb up the ladder in ducati?
More likely he will jump ship to a better team, provided he performs reasonably well at Ducati
Where will Nicky Hayden go after 2013?
WSBK
Can Cal challenge for a win and deserve a factory seat?
No Chance!
Who will be the top Satellite Honda ride Bradley Smith/ Alvaro Bautista?
Bradley Smith is Yamaha, Bautista and Stefan Bradl are Honda riders. Stefan will kick Alvaro ass!!
Can Dani win his first premier class title or will be pushed as a second rider in the factory Honda Team
This is the biggest question
Will Dovi be the next victim of Ducati?
Probably and Spies as well
Who will challenge for the second best Rookie of the season smith/Innoane (as first will be Marquez)
Smith (better machinery)
Will Lorenzo's butter smooth riding and consistency fetch him his third title in premier class?
My thoughts in bold!Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Not according to Stoner and some other informed commentators.Originally posted by Makky View PostAgreed. But, one has to be aggressive to get the best out of both which means, that both demand a sort of near to similar riding style when compared to what Yamaha demands.
Apparently the 500s used to be ridden hard and the rear was allowed to slide, while in the Ducati it is the opposite. You have to control the sliding rear to steer it from the back.
Also I believe Rossi's age didn't allow him to take undue risks. While Stoner had to prove to the world that he had talent. A mental thing more than a physical handicap.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Yes I believe because I a article sometime back I read while Stoner tested Ducati he struggled only for a couple of laps after that he started to fly..... But in the case of Rossi right from the start of the testing he was not comfortable with Ducati..... Normally in Ducati you have to break early and carry the speed in the corner and have to open the gas asap that was the main reason it got suited to Stoner because he will open the throttle quicker than other riders in the motogp... Rossi on the other hand will always brake late so this riding style will not suit Rossi.Yamaha RX100 (1993)
