Had he got his contract renewed with Ducati, he 'd not have spoken this much.

To be honest, the only good thing about that Ducati that he rides is a factory seat..period. I'm not sure why a pure racer would want to waste his career banging his head for a better bike. Cal and Dovi had the same desire, to race for a factory team after being tagged with a satellite team. Dovi is probably putting up a brave face but deep inside, probably he also knows that he has signed a contract for finishing his career in MotoGP. By the time he is out of it, he would be out of reckoning on any other factory seat.

Suzuki making a silent commitment for a 2015 return, it remains to be seen on who rushes to that squad. Hope Aprilia and Suzuki manage to get better packages for some of the very talented and deserving riders.

I didn't find anything new in Nicky's interview, apart from the information just coming from "the horse's mouth".

He's still the same guy he was when he won the title in 2006, according me to

On the other side, Jorge's got issues:
“I was expecting to be competitive from the beginning here, because I made a lap record in the [June] test, a 1m 48.0s, four tenths faster than the record,” he said.
But today we had much more problems. Especially under braking. The front was 'closing' [folding]. We don't know exactly what is happening.
Anyway we have to believe, we have to think that we are going to improve the bike for tomorrow and that we can be much faster.
We hoped to improve the bike from the morning but we couldn't do it. I have a worse feeling than when we were here for the test. The other riders are improving their pace a lot but we are optimistic. We can improve the bike and make another step. We need to be competitive whether it is hot or not."

        Rossi reported similar issues:

“We struggled more than we expected,” confessed the Italian maestro. “In the test the track had different conditions and more grip, the temperature was lower and it was better. Today we suffered quite a lot, especially this afternoon I had quite a lot of issues, especially one with the brakes and I lost nearly half the practice.”

“At the end I used the second bike and made some laps to find the rhythm. We have to improve and go faster but at this moment after some laps the rear tyre starts to slide a lot and the bike becomes difficult to control.”

Before Rossi won the championship for Yamaha in 2004, the last time someone had won one was in 1992! And in any season in between, they were never close to Honda even in terms of points. It was a string of bad years and an absolutely disastrous phase. Even Ducati is in the same waters. You never know when things can change.

True and even I wish Ducati could change and have something competitive for their riders. Unlike Yamaha who were hungry for success and listened to Rossi, Ducati are head strong when it comes to incorporating feedback from their riders. This is one factory which believes that their machines win the championship and not the rider. Till this attitude continues, I see no change in the positions that the Ducatis finish at.

If Marquez gets bored after a certain no. of years, he should go to Ducati.

Once I read the article in some website where three times world champion Wayne Rainey (1992 world champion last champion before Rossi on a Yamaha) clearly explained the situation why Yamaha didn't lift an championship for nearly 12 seasons ... He clearly told it was not the Yamaha machinery which was inferior but it is the riders who were not consistent and not able to win the championship.. On the other hand Honda had Mick Doohan and Alex Criville who were doing good, once Doohan and Criville finished they roped talents like Rossi and other riders at that time were not even matching their pace .... Yamaha that time is different from what Ducati is now .. Yamaha two stroke is a very capable machine but never had good riders but Ducati had wonderful riders but didn't have a capable machinery ....

Stoners pace still gives me the creeps, it's either his style or his speed, but he rides that machine as if he's going to take it to heaven. That is insane..it would have been amazing to see stoner and Marc battle for pole on saturday's

here's what Cal had to say about friday session..in his usual way:
“I was quite pleased to be sixth after not testing here and not being too far away. I am losing everything on the straight. I am losing on average 12 to 13kph on Bradl every single lap and I am at full power, so the bike won’t go any faster.
"It is not like we are cutting to save fuel on the straight and I am an average 7kph down on the factory Yamaha but that’s with their new gearbox they have no delay in the cut. I get off the corner quicker than them but when they change to third gear it is ‘see you later.’
"There is nothing I can do about it but I can’t be giving up that sort of speed every single lap. It takes me the rest of the lap to try and catch back up but it is disappointing because I am riding quite well over the rest of the lap.”

“I am going to ride naked tomorrow. I need to drop five kilos and we have worked out that my helmet and leathers weigh about that. I’ll keep my helmet on though.
"There is nothing we can do though because we are at full power. We always know the Yamaha is slower than the Honda but now the factory team have the seamless gearbox they have closed it a little bit and they are still a lot slower but for us it is embarrassing. We are on average 5kph above the fastest CRT. I’ve got what I’ve got and hopefully I will go faster tomorrow.”

Lordy! Cal does it again as expected. One seamless shift gearbox, please! But, wait! What happened to the fuel tank?!

                        ..............................

Wet conditions at Aragon on a Sat morning.

Greasy track. Hence, grip 'd a be crucial factor. Can Rossi keep Pedrosa at bay?

Top session! Rossi found good pace.
Honda power is a big adv for the other camp.

Surprised at the way how quickly Yonny adapted to Desmo and started running with Iannone.
