  • Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates

The incident between MM and Dani should not be dealt strictly. It should be taken as a racing incident. In Moto2 too Redding and Esparago touched each other. If a slight touch breaks the sensor, design is not good.

No one wants strict rules like F1.

What a race! Amazing race by Marc, good effort by Jorge only to find himself outpaced by Marc, unfortunate incident for Dani. Rossi trying to defend himself in the second group as more than often this year. While all this is more or less the same every race, what a race by Bautista...brilliant. A satellite Honda dicing and outpacing a factory Yamaha and a somewhat factory Honda. Time that Bautista received a better machine and factory parts.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Added to that fact that Rossi is a couple of kgs heavier, Lorenzo stays in the "aero bubble" for a hell of a lot longer than Rossi and Cal, which causes lesser drag meaning lesser fuel consumption. Read this in a Cal Crutchlow interview, i'll try to find and paste the link if I can.

Yup, i'm sure, it was .68 before Lorenzo started getting closer. The only time marquez had a 1 second lead was in the final 3 laps or so (and Lorenzo never came close once it had crossed 1 second).

Lorenzo knew that even a win in all remaining races would not guarantee him a championship. The only way that is possible is if MM do not finish in at least one of them. So by letting MM lead in today's race was he expecting him to make a mistake and crash/finish lowly?? Or did he really hit his limit today?? We can only speculate...

Yeah, yeah, but the comment I was going to make would have sounded barely borderline rational

I was going to say that Marquez is AT LEAST as talented as stoner and AT LEAST as aggresive as Rossi, if he can prove to be as consistent as Lorenzo, he would be utterly unbeatable.

Although I don't hold Marquez the least bit responsible for Pedrosa's crash, I want them to punish Marquez (at Philip Island preferably ) just so that we can have the spectacle of him ripping up the field from the last spot.

Lorenzo said in the interview that Marquez was just too fast and all his tactics failed today. On a sidenote, Marquez can now afford to finish in 3rd position in every race henceforth, such is his points lead.

                  Damn!...
Its still not the time for the Dani. I guess so.
He will get there, if he keeps the fight ON!

Why dont they provide bikes with rear view mirror so you dont have to glance back to check other riders.

At this rate, there will soon be a demand for Horns, flasher units and side stands

Reasonably sure it has to do with Aerodynamics and stability. Plus it would be impossible to ride the bike if one of them were to break in a (otherwise harmless) lowside.

I wouldn't say I'm against close racing, but something so small as the "touch" by Marc can cause a rider to high side so bad, should be dealt seriously. These are very complicated machines now a days and depend a lot on electronics unlike early years.

If Rossi wasn't so far away from the front trio there is a good chance he might have either got involved or simple run over dani.

In all honesty, it wasn't the force of the contact that caused the highside. It was the (very improbable) location of the point of contact which caused the highside. It's was unfortunate and IMO, people should stop making Marquez the scapegoat. Small contacts of that intensity happen multiple times every race (some might not even get televised because they are for the 17th place) and it's not a big deal.

If anyone suggests a punishment for this incident, then for the sake of consistency, I would advocate that Marquez be awarded even harsher punishment for shoving Lorenzo (at Jerez) so hard that he almost got knocked off the bike due to the the force of the impact.

Dorna is always biased towards Marquez.. They want MotoGp to be very competitive and right from the beginning the rules favored Marc ... First they scrapped the Rookie rule in order to give him a factory seat.. Even in Moto 2 once he clipped of Pol Esparago, Jerez incident he was so hard on Lorenzo if Lorenzo would have not come there Marquez would have definitely gone straight into gravel trap.

Dani I think he will be repeating the history of Randy Mamola a great rider who never won a championship... This is the height of unlucky last year he was very strong for winning the championship Misano crashed it all and followed by a fall in Philip Island closed his titles hopes
