Casey tried the production racer at Japan
Difference between Prototype and Production:
1)Production bike has spring (rather than pneumatic) operated valves
2)a normal (rather than seamless shift) gearbox
3)plus the full standard ECU system (rather than just the hardware).
Stoner :"We also tried the production bike which was more impressive than I predicted. It had a similar feeling to the RCV but with a little less power and a different feeling in engine braking. With some small modifications I believe this bike will be competitive and I look forward to the next test with it! In general it was a good, but busy day!"
Scott Redding will be ridding the Honda Production racer in 2014 with Gresini squad.
