  • Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates

I 'd want to see VR to do something unexpected in at least one of the 3 races. Not expecting him to win but, cane that M1 absolutely to the core even if, it means he's gonna crash. He is 32 points ahead of Cal and most likely, he 'll finish 4th this season. So, here is a chance. Forget 'finishing the race', re-map that damn thing and FORZA! Please, give the crowd what they truly deserve!

^^yeh hoping for that is not too much at least once a season. I would want him to do that task(if possible) at Valencia if he's going to do it once.
It's a short track but with slow corners it favours honda equally in low rpm acceleration. So would be interesting. PI seems to be a riders circuit rather than a specific bike'a circuit. Motegi on the other hand is a Honda circuit, literally...lol
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Random thought : I think that if a top moto2 rider makes a switch to Ducati, he will be able to get more out of the bike than the current Ducati riders. Most good moto2 riders are more than willing to slide their bikes around and from what we've seen in the past, the Ducati responds well to that sort of treatment.

but i think this season the crowd has seen a lot of exciting races already, no ? a few last lap fights (and one of them was for the win (silverstone)), lots of overtakes within the top riders, even some of the runaway win type races have been pretty good as well...this has been the best season in a long time imo and so i think the crowd has got a lot of what it deserves...

MM has been a prime catalyst and reason for that, of course..and obviously the ongoing 99 vs 93 rivalry, which has given us a bunch of exciting sets of overtakes, controversies, etc

              46 fever and forever!

Although, we have seen him 'win' wheel to wheel fights, for a change, I want to see him to battle with the top 3 at least for a couple of laps.

oh ok, you meant to say giving the VR46 crowd what they truly deserve

i too hoped/wished for at least one full-on lorenzo-rossi battle..but that's not gonna happen this year, very likely not next year or the year after that either....we've seen a few kickass lorenzo-marquez battles and rossi-marquez battles this season but no rossi-lorenzo one so far...

Mark my words. He 'll be back. Never ever rule out Rossi!

sure.. but a lot of things need to fall in place for him to be back battling the top 3 riders consistently. while it's possible, i am somehow not sure if i'd bet on it.

in any case, i dont think that shall be the case before second-half of 2014, if at all...that is assuming yamaha sorts out their late braking stability issues in the winter and before next season starts..both lorenzo and rossi have been talking about it, and in any case lorenzo really needs it for his and yamaha's future title hopes anyway..

Right now he is riding on a high. I think the real pressure will come next season when he will have to defend his title...

@Braumabull, @Makky - how can you like something like what happened with Monk
Like was for 500 km in 6 hour feat, to watch the race.
I thought I was the only nut. (didnt ride that long, but have done wierd things on race-day)

Thanks for the video. Amidst the battle, I was really hoping for something awsome from Rossi. (I was just watching and feeling bad, dunno how Rossi was feeling, just having to watch the battle).

Hoping for good races, at PI.(Too much hoping this year:|)

Only certain no. of races this year, unlike before. Where there was something exciting almost every race.

Its not Marquez fault tho, no one's as fast as him at this point, I wished Dani to give him a hard time, but its the other way round, aint it?

sorry but i didnt think so (admittedly though i have been watching motogp since mid-2005 only so i can't/shouldn't really reference back to the seasons before that)...back then too, there were only a certain no. of races that were pretty exciting, and some absolute cracker of a race only once or twice a season, and there were also a bunch of more standard kind of races...this season IMO so far has been the best season since 2009 or maybe even 2006 (i loved 2009), thanks mostly to MM and the ongoing JL vs MM stuff that has seen JL up his game so much trying to valiantly defend his crown (to no chance anymore)..

                            Right,
It was fun before 2005. Not that it is not good now. Now its just Jorge and Marquez(Plus no Rossi there ).

But then , yea its just our opinion and personal preference. Some people liked when Stoner raced and won races by a big gap. But personally I think Stoner's best race was Barcelona 2007. So it depends U know..........

Sorry, BUT I do think so...
