Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Got more news, but nothing on fuel load.Originally posted by Braumabull View PostI was thinking if there isnt any specific restrictions, they can use a richer mix of fuel, little bit of extra power..
Anyways, hope for a good race.......
what exactly it says is:
It has therefore been decided to make the following changes to the MotoGP™ class race in the interests of safety:
1. The race distance will be 26 laps (previously scheduled to be 27)
2. Every rider will be required to enter the pits and change to their second machine with fresh tyres at least once during the race.
3. No rider is permitted to make more than 14 laps on any one slick rear tyre. This means that a bike/tyre change before lap 12 would require a second bike/tyre change to finish the race
4. Riders using ‘Factory’ and ‘Satellite’ machines will be required to use the ‘hard’ option tyre (B51DR). Extra quantity will be allocated by Bridgestone
5. Riders using CRT machines will be required to use the CRT ‘hard’ option tyre (B50DR). Extra quantity will be allocated by Bridgestone
6. The pit lane speed limit zone will be extended both on entry and exit and the exit route to rejoin the track will be marked by a white line in the runoff area; crossing this line whilst rejoining the track from pit lane will result in a penalty
BTW, the extended zone they are talking about is 200m before and after exit. That's 400m in total.

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
Race has been shortened to 19 laps, with pitting 0n 9-10th lap.
Fuel max that can be used is 42 litres. Ao everybody is going to be using as mucha as they want.
The problem will be if it starts raining immediately after they change tyres. It will be madness as they pit again for a second tyre change
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates
There is so much practicing going on for changing bikes, I just hope it doesn't end exactly the way it starts off.
None of them would be worried about tyre wear, Bridgestone has said that they should be able to push to the max for those 10 laps. The top riders are going to go for it all.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Wakey wakey! Sighting lap done. Riders on the grid! 5min to start.
Lorenzo - Soft, Hard
MM - Extra soft, Hard
Rossi - Soft, Hard
What a disastrous 2nd half for Redding! Championship almost out of his hands now.Last edited by Makky; 10-20-2013, 11:26 AM.

If you woke up jut a few min ago, you missed watching the riders practicing bike change. With different body language and style it should(I hope it does) affect the race result.Originally posted by Makky View PostWakey wakey! Sighting lap done. Riders on the grid!
I have a doubt in Rossi, his superstition to get of the bike from the left side accompanied with moving the right left from front and not behind(to get off) might make him loose some time.
Makky these eastern rounds must be really hard on you-waking up early on Sunday mornings.lol..Last edited by R-series; 10-20-2013, 11:30 AM.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
