LOL, yes of course. This is a result of following F1 and MotoGP at the same time.
F1 is in Suzuka this weekend and their Free practices were live at the same time as well.

BTW, anyone knows what's up in moto3? I haven't been following it closely these days. Has Honda already brought it's KTM-killer bike? I thought it wasn't supposed to come until next year. Honda leading with 5 Hondas in top 10? o_O

Breaking news: Dani's not satisfied with the Carbon fiber TC guard given by HRC. He's compensating on weight and using his own - the Marc Guard

        Thoughts? Comments? Opinions?

I think it's way way too early. Specially considering that he's still testing bikes and hasn't completely ruled out a comeback. (Even Rossi isn't a MotoGP(tm) Legend yet )

Legends are passionate about their game. Not like Casey who disappointed his fans by turning his back to them. Good that im not one!

IMO, The "Legend" status is for their achievements. Casey is will within his rights to quit or do something else if he so pleases. He's a free man (and i'm not a fan either) :\

What a lap my Marc, Rossi took the piggy back behind adrea dovisioso.
Dani and Jorge behind. Marc's got his work cut out or is he in for a threat from the old dog..

Awesome qualifying. Marc was down in 8th before he took pole. Good for Rossi and Crutchlow. Horrible for Lorenzo. Has Marc got under his skin?

Pedrosa leads first three practice sessions and then Marc stamps his authority over him once again.

Bradl will not race, due to fractured ankle in FP4.

Unless it rains tomorrow, It looks like this is a free 25 point haul for Marquez. Lorenzo and Pedrosa seem to be off the pace (or maybe just cautious due to the rain) and Marquez just crushed the pole lap record in less than perfect conditions.

With Bradl out of contention for the weekend, the rumor mill has already been turned to Stoner for a comeback on the LCR machine at PI. Personally, I do not see this happening but what other options do they have?

Will be funny to see Stoner racing and being awarded "MotoGP(tm) Legend" at the same weekend, if it comes to fruition at all

you serious man? :O he was as much passionate about racing as the next guy..he was just not into all the political and media bullshit, the way motogp was headed (current regulations etc), dorna, the way most of the fans are, etc...did you ever read his interview in which he said the only thing he enjoyed about motogp anymore was just the actual racing, but it was one of the minor things about motogp ?

besides, unlike most riders on the grid, he actually had a family..not just a girlfriend or a wife, he had a baby...like every free man on earth, why shouldn't he be free to leave his profession if he thinks it's taking a toll on him and his family life, and on top of that when he isn't even enjoying most of all the things he has to do in his profession ? that means he isn't passionate about racing bikes? :O

none of these racers are doing what they do merely to please their fans and go by their expectations every time..it's their life, their lives on the line, their interest to race or not...

and for the record, i am not a big fan of stoner..there were several things about him i didnt like so much, but you cant forget his riding skills and the fact that he was the only one who could ride that ducati to wins and podiums for 4 years...the supposed GOAT couldn't do shit on that piece of shit bike, no one else could, except stoner...he clearly had something special to be able to do that for 4 years and get 23 wins and a bunch of podiums on that problematic bike..it's just utterly disrespectful to say that he wasn't passionate about his racing just because he retired so young. lol..legend or not is decided by their achievements only, not by anything else..23 wins on the ducati is proof enough.

most likely that's not gonna happen, if it's a dry race..

no..as he said, he had grip issues in turn 5 and 6 every time, where he lost out a few tenths or more.

                            ....

Each person has his nature and the way to look at things. Stoner may feel about the sport in a certain way but that doesn't mean he's correct in all his opinions. Dorna takes flacks for many of their ways by which they run the sport and that is a different matter of discussion. And I would like to respect Stoner's decision when it's based on the reason of his family. Other than that, the riders can hardly do much about how the sport is handled by the management. You have your opinion on it and I have mine. And besides the family reason, I cannot agree with anything else that Stoner had said for leaving the sport.

I mean, some people might love the sport more than the racers but the racers are the ones that make the sport memorable for a life's entirety. Racers are the ones that mostly make and break the sport. Stoner had a choice, which is - either to stay and continue to keep the competition more alive and in turn entertain the fans OR to quit because one of his reasons say that the sport has changed to his disliking. He took the latter and I don't agree with him. And what do you mean by "the way most of the fans are"? May I ask. Is this comment universally targeted at the fans of Rossi? Did anyone threw stones at his home?

And Aditya, that's one hell of a way to respect other racers when you say "besides, unlike most riders on the grid, he actually had a family..not just a girlfriend or a wife". Might I give you the example of Colin Edwards who is a complete family man as well..with a wife and kids. I am sure even he worries about his family and and the inherent dangers of such a high speed sport.

Finally, that so called GOAT is the GOAT for millions out there. Even the GOAT has "something" in him for so many years that other riders will hardly possibly match.

                            Thank you

Most of the things were answered, but I didnt clearly understand what you meant by this.............
Plus, just do a quick research on all the racers with families and still racing, across all leagues, not just MotoGp. You'll see that Stoner wasnt the only special case..
You'll even se people losing their close friends at track and still continue to race, I guess nothing beats this. (I cud be wrong, but its just my opinion)
