Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
That is one fine example. I feel Miller got complacent mid way and threw away couple of races. And then it was too much for him to correct those mistakes. He fought tooth and nail with Aleix in the final rounds, he tried to be strategic, it failed in Motegi, but then the way he bounced back in Australia, drubbing metted out to Aleix in Malaysia and then final battle in Valencia.Originally posted by nirvaana View Post

its not opening in the office, saw it on the phone. Damn the champ, he doesn't want to loose anything and that's what champions are made of.Originally posted by The Monk View PostSuperprestigio 2014 finals, for those who like these things ! -
Few things I observed.
1. This was like a replica of Marc's actually races in MotoGP. Gets messed up because of something, comes back, rides harder than ever and takes the flag.
2. These bikes are so tempting, I want one for myself. might plan something in the future - hopefully a more powerful impulse :P
3. Marc was excited to win this one as any other MotoGP race
4. It's good that this race is for 12 laps only, taking all left turns in a matter of few seconds would make you're body ache like hell if this race was for 45 minutes :PJust because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
Taking left turns only must be exceedingly boring; or at least one could say it's one-sided entertainment...
I think old Rossi got it right with his Ranch, a facility designed as a real gym for GP riders. Each corner and bend (kind of) evokes some bends at famous GP tracks.
The latest event there was the EnduRanch, 100kms where 2-rider teams were taking turns 5 laps at a time. They didn't swap bikes, just the transponder.
Have a look here

Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
This special endurance formula invented by Rossi features 2-rider teams that swap transponder every 5 laps. First team to complete 100kms wins. Last year Rossi won racing together with his half-brother Luca; this time his teammate was Migno and Rossi arrived second. The winners were young riders: Bulega and Baldassarri. I think this was the first time Rossi did't win an event at his own "ranch"! He managed to beat even Marquez when he went there, by a slight margin.Originally posted by R-series View PostYep saw the updates of this one on FB. Any idea about the results by any chance?
Third in this last event were well known GP riders like Pasini and Petrucci.
Here's the podium (it was night when the race ended)

Wow, thanks for sharing. Surprising to know he came 2nd even after he had beaten marquez at his ranch.Originally posted by J4rn0 View PostThis special endurance formula invented by Rossi features 2-rider teams that swap transponder every 5 laps. Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
To be fair, the difference is that with that formula he was 50% race-sharing with another rider, whereas when Marquez was there each rider was racing on his own. I think the formula was thought out like that precisely to make things a little more difficult for the fastest riders.Originally posted by R-series View PostWow, thanks for sharing. Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
Nice, thanks for sharing. Gives a good insite on new teams coming into MotoGP. We don't get to know much about the efforts and activities that the new or even the satellite teams go through.
I wish there was some kind of preview video for every team. MotoGP actually make preview videos of the factory bikes, i.e. Yamaha, Honda and Ducati.
Found something interesting to read meanwhile on Crash.Net | F1 & MotoGP | Motorsport News
MotoGP News - MotoGP getting faster
With change in regulations, MotoGP engineers and riders tend to make the bikes run faster within the claimed rules. Even though it's exciting for fans to witness this, the dangerous part is that the circuits are not well equipped with handling such high corner speeds in case anything goes wrong.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
