Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
Any tragedy aside, I will be riding down to watch the race as well. 3000 per night hotels are available, but in Seremban which is not so close to the track. Anything close to the track will cost you in the region of 500 MYR/10000 INR per night.Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostGuys, I plan to visit Malaysia to watch Sepang GP later part of the year. I found out, hotel rates arent very expensive. 3000 per night is available. Anyone willing to join? Costs can be shared where ever possible.Bajaj Pulsar 150 : 2004-2005

Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
I\'m planning to go for this years Malaysian GP as well, still saving for tickets. will book sometime in May or June. Best thing is if your concerned about cost, then book the Air Asia Hotel (Tune Hotel) near the air port. It\'s the cheapest you can buy. And if you have only 2 bags, it\'s just hardly a kilometer walking distance. Through the parking to be specific.Originally posted by dishayu View PostAny tragedy aside, I will be riding down to watch the race as well. 3000 per night hotels are available, but in Seremban which is not so close to the track. From there you can easily get a bus, hardly 30 min drive and your at the track. This will be my 2nd vist, hopefully get to see the complete race unlike 2011.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

You can also opt for staying in Central. Shuttle service is available all day long during the race weekend from KL Cental to circuit. Takes a tad over an hour to reach it. 30 MYR two way tickets
Contribute to the environment.

Thanks guys for your suggestions. Really helps in planning.
My wife has shown interest in accompanying for the race. Are the Hotels in my budget 3 to 4k safe to stay with wife
From what I have understood, staying far from the circuit will be cheaper. Travelling to the venue isnt an issue.
The bus service is consistent right to and from the circuit? What about taxis?
Do we get bike accessories for cheap there? Basically full system exhausts, brake pads and stuff, riding suit.

1. Hotel Geo
2. Tune Hotel.
For air travel, I liked the timings and fares of Malindo Air. Total fare for 2 is Rs.46,306.
MotoGP tickets are for total MYR 318 ( Rs.5500). I have selected to \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Print at Home\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\". Is this the right option?

Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
Tune Hotels is the best value for money option but it\'s completely booked by April. A lot of the crew members of satellite teams stay there.Originally posted by R-series View PostI\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m planning to go for this years Malaysian GP as well, still saving for tickets. will book sometime in May or June. This is the best option, IMO. KL Sentral to Sepang is under 1 hour. You get to explore KL, better value for money and much better options to eat as well (obviously).Originally posted by nirvaana View PostYou can also opt for staying in Central. Tune hotels are fantastic. If your plan is final and you\'re doing the bookings now, just blindly book that. Very safe and walking distance from the track.Originally posted by chinmayakar View Post

Staying further would be marginally cheaper, but it would be partially offset by travel costs. But you can go around and do things in KL.
Bus services are very frequent (every 30 minutes), but you may want to get in early otherwise you might struggle to find space. A lot of people travel during the GP. Taxis are super expensive (when compared to India). Bike accessories are only marginally cheaper than in India, not worth it, IMO. They are much cheaper in Singapore
Flight tickets are HIDEOUSLY overpriced. Tigerair tickets can be had for under 25k easy (total for 2 people that is).Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostGuys I did this research. I liked these 2 Hotels. Please comment.

Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
Thanks Dishayu. This is the address of Tune Hotels in Kuala Lumpur.
Tune Hotel - Downtown KL
316 Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman,
50100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Are you saying the race venue is very near from this place? That is a delight. Sounds bit stupid but,is it ok to stay with wife there right?
In all the excitement I forgot about Visa. Does Malaysia have Visa on arrival?
I will look at Tigerair. Does it operate from Mumbai? I didn\'t see it on makemytrip. Will try out their individual site.
I will do the bookings in March.

Re: MotoGP 2015 Season - Updates
Stay in Malaysia should be safe in general compared to India. Just be aware of the surroundings, no flashy ornaments and careful about handbags.
Visa on arrival facility is there but you are always at a risk of it getting denied. So better to take Visa before hand.
Check for TigerAir and Air Asia both in their sites. Tiger should be cheaper though. You can also opt the Singapore route
Visa is just 30 SGD and can get decent hotels for 150 SGD. Can take flight or bus to Malaysia. Nice opportunity to visit both places

Nope, that\\\'s not the one. You should be looking for Tune Hotel at klia2. Sepang circuit is next door to the airport, the hotel is next to the airport terminal 2 (klia2).Originally posted by chinmayakar View PostThanks Dishayu. This is the address of Tune Hotels in Kuala Lumpur.

Tune Hotels are 4-star class and it\\\'s practically situated at the airport, so it should be safe as well. So, staying with the missus shouldn\\\'t be an issue at all.
There is provision for Visa on arrival but AFAIK, it\\\'s cheaper to get it done beforehand (this is second hand info though).
Don\\\'t know about Mumbai operations of Tigerair. I\\\'ve traveled from Hyd and Bangalore using that airline and never paid more than 8k for one direction.Last edited by dishayu; 01-19-2015, 09:40 PM.Bajaj Pulsar 150 : 2004-2005
