I mean if an outsider like you and me know they are using 24 litres against 22 litres that they claim, it sounds strange that the officials in Dorna's team and other factory teams wouldn't know of tricks and sorcery that Ducati employs to put in more fuel ( super cooled and stuff).

I mean, for Losai practice Ducati claimed they did not use softer tyres, and there was noise from other teams. People were all out to confirm if they were actually on softer compounds.

If people believe all the teams in MotoGP put in more fuel and claim to be using lesser fuel, all in hands with MotoGP officials, then I guess this is one of the biggest sham in sports.

I would like to believe Ducati and other teams use fuel that they claim to based on facts on various forums, and would not like to take away any credit from Ducatis or MotoGP as a sport.

If you have proof that it is otherwise, we would be glad to change our view on the sports.

MotoGP News - MotoGP: Qatar podiums mean Ducati race fuel reduced
In 2007 after Stoner's first shocking win in Qatar some had trouble believing it and someone even insinuated that Ducati had more than 800cc capacity and was probably hiding fuel in the pipes of their trellis frame...! LOL
That wasn't the case of course, everybody does everything to stretch the rules or bend them in their favour, they are there to win; but no manufacturer involved with racing at world level would ever cheat, also because technical inspections can be called at any time without warning. Ducati simply had (by far) the best engine in 2007 and that desmo engine is still one of the very best power units in MotoGP; now that also the chassis is first class again, it's only natural that the bike shines.

The GP15 has a redesigned crank and gearbox to make the engine more compact and lighter, but the cylinder-head units are unchanged and, together with the electronics governing the injection system, they do deliver excellent power and fuel efficiency. That's all there is to it... In 2016 everybody will have 22 liters anyway. One can now see that Ducati made the best choice for them in 2014, according to the new rules; by the way Honda and Yamaha also could have made the same choice, but they probably were already happy with their engines and didn't want to give up the extra-hard tire.

Yes, that is what is my point of view as well. My reply was to Pratik's allegations that teams are probably using more fuel than what they claim to. The rules clearly state the temperature at which the fuel is to be measured, hence, any advantage gained by artificially cooling it down further is lost there.

I guess this should put to rest those theories, unless there is some tangible proof of teams doing it.

Thats sad. That shoots down my dream of seeing Stoner in Motogp this year.

Don't despair just yet... My money for Casey's comeback as a wildcard is Motegi and/or P.I. next October. Assuming his desire to race, that was somehow implied in his recent tweet, is as real as it seems.

I doubt it, he still hates the Grand Prix politics and media more than he loves racing. He once said, "I have enough money to watch my angle grow without me racing."
But just as much as you, I would love to see him go against motogp's best, all the more now since Ducati has revived.

Casey Stoner's latest tweet says it all -

Bummer I'm not racing, no prep was needed as I wasn't planning on winning, just replacing a good friend and having some fun in Texas!:)

This last tweet leaves little doubt about Stoner's desire. He sounds disappointed.
I think Honda will have to let him race a wildcard or two, or else risking him going to race for another manufacturer...!

Thanks Team Moto Nerang for giving me a Honda to ride for this weekend!:) #Valkyrie #WhataBeast #Alpinestars

Rain expected on Sunday at Austin. I don't know about others, but I'm kind of nervous about Yamaha's chances at Texas.

so it's Marquez, Crutchlow, Iannone, A.Espargaro, Dovizioso, Rossi, P.Espargaro, Bradl, Hernandez and Smith (Top 10)

Bradl improves near the end to push Jorge out of top 10. He'll have to Qualify for Q2 only through Q1 tomorrow.

During Moto3 FP1 yesterday Gavin said that he asked Livio Suppo about Casey's return as a wild card and Suppo confirmed that it was certainly discussed but did not materialize. Gavin thinks that the fact that Stoner was 1 second off the pace of Marc/Dani would not have gone down well with Stoner/his fans during the race. And makes a bit of sense too.

But I still feel it's on the cards and Stoner is itching to go

Check out these tweets from David Emmett and Steve English. Read from bottom to top. Interesting. Looks more like a face saving measure from Honda after Stoner publicly displayed his displeasure at not being allowed to race -

So Casey wants to race and Honda does not want it now. That is strange. He would have been quicker than Aoyama any day. I see it as a loss for Honda, but then they are master strategists. Lets hope all this online buzz materialises and we finally get to see Stoner back.
On other lines, this probably means Stoner is itching to get back and could very well be approached by other teams, what wwith ppl like Bradley Smith, Pol Espagaro, Scott Redding struggling. If Cal can be competitive on a satellite Honda there is no reason why Stoner cant mix things up at the front.

Not exactly. Honda wants Stoner back, but not just to be in the top 5 or top 10. They want him to be good enough to race for podium at least. For that a weekend is not enough to setup the bike. At least a weeks time is required on the bike with the rider and with a crew that is compatible. In Dani's case the notice period was very short, which Honda thinks is not enough for Stoner to be upto the mark that they expect. At least that's what Nakamoto had to say. But one thins is for sure. Stoner's wild card entry is inevitable now. It's just a matter of time. What Casey hates about MotoGP (politics and media) would certainly not be something to worry about for a wild card entry.
