What a scorcher of a moto2 race .. so close and those guys were sliding into the corners in almost every lap and in the qualifying too.

That was one heck of a race weekend... The most memorable moment was "Lorenzo's jump into the pond" . It will be remembered for quite some time by people...I cant forget the sight of him swimming with all those riding gears and heck even helmet !!!!
I havent seen a more aggressive rider than lorenzo. I never thought that he would be successful in overtaking rossi until i saw it , and in the penultimate lap, he was damn lucky not to have crashed when he tried to overtake pedrosa twice then. In the end it looked like Rossi just gave it to lorenzo and didnt compete with him and just saved his 3rd position unlike one of the last year's race when the two were riding crazy and rossi overtook him in the final curve and went on to finish first !!! neverthless this was also an exciting one.My New Blog : http://ridesaferidelong.blogspot.com/

Rossi had shoulder injury and had been complaining about bike set up problems so I guess he didn't have much of a chance than to give up. I was actually surprised that he held on to second place for that long.Originally posted by VarunRTR View PostIn the end it looked like Rossi just gave it to lorenzo and didnt compete with him and just saved his 3rd position unlike one of the last year's race when the two were riding crazy and rossi overtook him in the final curve and went on to finish first !!! neverthless this was also an exciting one. Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Well, didnt see the 125cc race. Moto2 was amazing, quite nail biting, and Toni Elias rode very well!
Pitty for Rossi, it would have made a perfect sunday for me if he had won, anyways
I guess a little bit of shoulder injury has to do with that. However, brilliant ride by Lorenzo I must say, nothing to take away from him. Pedrosa gave him tough competition almost till the end, I dont really remember when was the last time that Pedrosa fought such a good battle!! An xtremely good race, I guess if he hadn't run wide in the final lap may be he wud've won the race. Neverthless, Lorenzo now leads Rossi by 4 points only to have him take it back
Also, I noticed that in this race Rossi's M1 was sliding and wallowing more. Normally, its quite stable.
The Championship is on people, don't go anywhere

When Lorenzo finally went past Dani and he ran wide, i wished if Rossi could slip in
. Anyways Lorenzo deserves his win.
I am also very happy for Nicky, a very good win.
Overall it was a good race to watch.

For once, I didn't want Rossi to win.
Standing ovation to Lorenzo. He scorched the track! The way he put in laps, I for one thought Pedrosa is the one. Suddenly Lorenzo just caught up with them! Almost as if he were cheating time itself!
I am feeling very bad for Pedrosa. I mean somehow, I feel he's got the potential. Every time there is some idiotic spanner in the works...
He was struggling with the Ohlins at Qatar, and now he simply got blitzed at Jerez. Home track. That too in the last lap. Bummer...
Moto2 was freaky. That was a massive spill! And in the end it was a nail biting finish! Congrats to Toni Elias! Loved his riding. The position swaps were amazing! At one corner, Elias was in the middle, with Luthi on one handlebar and Tomizawa on the other! The 3 of them tumbled into the corner together!!
Again, feeling good for Hayden. His aggressive riding didn't suit the 800s, but he seems to have found a rhythm... I mean beating Stoner was pretty nice to add to the comeback!
Man-o-man.... Glued to the championship now!!
BTW, wassup with Stoner? Not to his usual pace.... Nothing wrong with his health either...
You get the point?? :D

They apparently don't have traction control! Just like the 250s.
I like the 250/Moto2 class. No computers to tell the bike what to do. And if I could quote a line...
'racing is tight and the only form of traction control is your right wrist...'

I hope so .. there have been rumours that the role of electronics will be reduced if not completely done away with.Originally posted by ashes View Post^thanx
so in 2012 wen the 1000c rule is applied...will motoGP class loose traction control and other electricals too? Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

It sure is Rossi's dream! There is a video interview of both his and Lorenzo's. I think its posted a couple of pages back. He dreams of MotoGP returning to 1000cc and without any electronics.
You get the point?? :D
