The Bike looks Retro-Classic and not sporty, and 300cc bore out mill with 26bhp is good too(it has one more horse than the Honda CB300R I think). So that makes it a single cylinder engine and at 24Nm its a torquey one !!!

But with 4Valves and liquid cooling and DOHC too !!!!,things could have been better .This is where Tech shines for Japs always.Look at R15,LC4V 150cc doing 17bhp in trim mode,21bhp in actual mode.Ok even if its Indians,TVS has a 185cc DOHC prototype that makes 20bhp.However........

      Lets see whats the pricing,
but looks could have been better...........substantially.
Lets now see how it handles and marvels............
I feel Comet250 was still a better launch from erstwhile Kinetic.
And Mojo is a failure name...........they could have surveyed this at Xbhp,Diablo seemed to be a more fitting name.
Reminds me how the GS150R was renamed by Suzuki after there was a hue and cry about Lanza at Xbhp.
Lets say Mahindra was not so lucky about naming

      • welcome to a new bike. fortunately in india quality takes a back seat for both the manufacturer and the buyer. so it doesn't matter here. the proof of the pudding is in eating. i feel the inverted forks will conk out/give problems on dirty indian roads and bad weather. may be a good buy @ 2.80 lakhs ( guess )

        waiting for the launch.

        • so much for all the twin cylinder speculation

          few observations,
          - has sport demon tyre (Pirelli?)
          - It has a lambda sensor at-least in the pic, hope they dont go RE way & removed!!
          - 11:1 compression ration might demand higher octane fuel(?)

I liked it in black, would have looked awesome in the shade of orange speed triple gets

          • Bajaj is still ahead of this bike in terms of its tag name 'Fastest Indian'. As this bike is developed in Italy. 220 still has its crown of Fastest Indian.

              • I'm personally feeling let down at first sight, Firstly, I imagine gripping the tank with your legs would be rather awkward if not downright painful, The pegs are further forward than I would like, the front end seems a tad too long (high), that headlight unit looks meh from the side and a 1x2 exhaust is just plain dumb. Other than that I could live with something like this but I have to say I'm not excited by it, I think I'll pass...

But most of all I'm appalled by the tag line "SOLE of a supercar"!?!?!?
That one alone has put me off more than anything else. These boys are just going to have to step up their game if they're hoping to make an impression. There just is no excuse.

I'd still like to test ride it just for the sake of knowing, but my anticipation bubble has leaked hot air so far

No,the speculated and expected Pulsar 300 would............KTM's 125 have its own category.

                  • The bike looks weird but somehow i think we will get used to it.

But one thing which i cannot digest is that they are 'comparing with car/supercar'. What point are they trying to put across. And so much for creating a frenzy of sorts about the Italy thing when they cant even make their website's quality upto the claimed mark.

If they are going to price it over 1.5 lakhs ex-showroom then i see this bike going the 'Logan' way!!

                    • Considering this is the initial offering by Mahindra in terms of Bikes.
That too a 300CC. we need to appload them for this.
And then Inverted forks, 320MM disk, lovely alloys, 150 section rear tyre, Nice console, neat and nice design of the headlight and dual exausts.
This is a great move by the company that too an Indian.

And i will reserve my comments on looks till the time i see this bike in flesh.
There have been many instances where the bike looks ugly in the pics but in reality it looks wow and vice versa.
Also how it performs on roads is a thing to be seen.

Moreover we should thank Mahindra for this step. Now other companies will feel the need to bring-in their bikes which we are craving for so long.

Its called feeding crap to India's general biking populace, trust me over 70percent of bikers with the first question of mileage would find it like a Supercar.........Mahindra knows this and hence the tag line.

Core bikers like us, know what feels like and better than the Supercars..........they have a name called Superbikes.

Logan was a good car for Indian standards with bad looks and worse marketing.

However for a new comer like Mahindra launching a 300cc was a very brave decision...........about which even mighty Bajaj and Hero Honda thinks over and over again.........as a Biker I appreciate setting standards.

                        • just one question from my side...

i know its better than a p220 dtsi...but how significantly better? is it worth selling my 220 and getting this?

                          mojo : 26bhp,24nm torque
                          220 : 21bhp,19nm torque

guess we have to wait till a test drive is given

                          • guys i personaly think the bike is a total let down!!! the itself looks lean...an FZ looks much much better...& the launch date is 4th of oct..not tomorrow....mahindra boffins...better luck next time....300cc 25bhp is ok...but why such dumb design??? could have done with a full faired one..there are enough naked street fighters here!!!

They have tried to make a cross between a retro cafe racer style and a modern naked ducati streetfighter but what has it turned out to be??? Honestly a MOJO indeed

I feel Mahindra motorcycles should have taken more time finalizing two things more indetail

1.Style - Indian bhi chalege ,example Pulsar,Apache doesn't have to be Italian

2.Name -Mahindra Motorcyles MOJO didnt anybody listen to what they were saying as this meant pure performance ,sounds more like a "Hurry up guys lets get done with the project...So name ,anybody ???.... "MOJO"...... good MOJO it is.... what next...Chop chop " situation

And this bike doesn't deserve the attention it got.

now where's that Pulsar 300cc thread???
