So,pardoning the P220 which only costs 80,000 rupees, lets see what we are buying at a 300cc price point and segment.....
ya ninja is saved for now

but what can the expected top end be? 150,160?? cause i guess ninja doesnt go more than 170 or 180kmph(that too it takes time to reach there) and 220 is like 153 ( all speedo figures...i know error exists )

      According to the M&M website...

      Maximum Power - 19.3 kW @ 8500 rpm
      Maximum Torque- 24 N.m @ 7000 rpm

according to this image of the tachometer... it redlines at 8500 rpm.

      what???

Ninja 250R's true top end is 165kmph-167kmph,speedo shows around 180kmph.

Going by specifications,Mojo can rope in a true top end of 155kmph and speedo would show around 170kmph.

However Mojo would reach 140kmph faster than the R15 and P220 and expected stability and smoothness would be much better.
It would handle better than the P220 but not as good as R15.

Taking everything into consideration,Pricing is very important for this bike, really.
The bike would be a Hit if it comes at 1.3-1.4 lacs !!!!

therefore it all depends on the price factor...its good if its below 1.5L ..anyways for a mere 10 or 15 kmph difference (assuming) from a 220, i dont think i am up for this retro babe.... i think many 220 owners would feel the same too...but it would be a major upgrade for others aside from 220s,r15s and ninja guys...however i love the parts of the bike though( brakes, speedo etc ) hmmm

              • LOL at WE xbhpians...

There were many such bikes cursed for looks just looking at the pictures...!

Come on guys...WE cribbed for a INDIAN manufacturer to come up with a bike for us...and once we find a bike near to those expectations....we thrash it out up and down with some really funny comments..just looking at the pics!

I would preserve my comments until I see the bike in flesh!
And my applause to Mahindra for daring something where many so called Indian and Japanese manufacturers were hesitant.

As said already, you expect too much and when you don't get it...you throw rotten tomatoes at the maker! well we have got lots of critics here doing the job!

Bike looks great on paper and does aptly suit for many tourers here! and occasional tourers like me. Only thing to check here is The service back up by Mahindra!

                Good job, Mahindra!

we all thought of ZMR like that too at the start...now its looks have grown onto us and is quite a looker right? come on dude...i feel its kinda retro- ish and cool....imagine yourself in actual bell bottoms and vest with colourfull shades,a band on your forehead and holding a stem with flower at its end from your teeth... bike would have been a hit in "Om SHanti Om " movie

                      • Anybody figured out a way yet on how to deciphere how a double barrel frame can be depicted using the pic of the front tyre?

                        Heres the long list:

Engine Pic say LC cooling - this is ok..
Radiator Pic say 4 valved engine! Wow! Hi Tech! a 4 Valved radiator... somewhere Mr. Joseph Abraham (from Bajaj) would have had a small stroke after seeing all this (I pray not!)

Gas Charged Mono Shocks paragh goes with Freaking Headlamps!

Radial Cliper breaking pics goes with its console!!!!

Tear Drop - Disc Petal! Wow!

Double Barrel - Front tyre! Must breath!

Twin Retro Bug Eyes - Head lamp - Chalo atleast the designer knew something about the bike. Oh and I guess this is what the person incharge of "website" which I assume is the Marketing fella or his team, knows well about the bike!

Dual - Exhaust - Bingo! Refer explaination above!
Single cylinder, twin exhaust One is a Intake, and the other is an exhaust...

Light weight alloy wheels - Hmm ok (pic more apt for the disc brake paragh)

Digital Display - Nice! Refer explaination above

Indias largest petal disk brake - Monoshock? Wtf?

Indias widest 'rare' tyres with tubeless technology! - lol! FRONT Tyre pic!

LED Tail lights - Lol headlamp pics

Mirror mounted indicator - Good job!

It isn't like that,P220Fs true top end is 135kmph,and it goes 150kmph on the speedo...........I have ridden it and I know.

Mojo would simply accelerate faster to a true 140kmph,P220 wont even come close to it.So its not a mere 10-15kmph difference, its a 300cc that's all.

                          And at 11:1 compression ratio,this bike maybe a free-revving one too !!!!
It is a lot faster if you compare R15 or P220 to it.

This would be more fair with the likes of Honda CB300,Bajaj Pulsar 250-300 in the market.

Its slower than the Ninja.Ninja is a Inline Parallel twin Engined bike,Mojo is a Single cylinder.

Pricing is all Mojo requires to strike the right cord...........I keep harping it.

brave enough to give it such a name ... and brave enough to give the web dev job to roadside kids.

The name should have been an appealing one.. this is like naming new brand of under garment.

based on how disproportionate this version looks...
the faired version will prolly look like this.
