          • orange one looks good.

it would be good to see a comparison between R15 and CBR150 and a full blown test ride report and track shootout.

            • Let's Race them I know Cbr150 will be faster but only slightly.. At the End of the day, Those who ride Solo 99.9% of time will chose R15 over CBR 150 due to slightly better handling..

Regarding the performance of the bike, it got a very healthy 18ps power and I am sure it performs better and lets wait for the road test.

Regarding the proven factor, Honda engines don't need that proven factor and majority believe this. As it shares most of its parts with its sibling 250R, spares will not be a big issue in future.

KTM200 will be priced around 1.5 lac (general talk around) and it rivals the 250cc category. An amount of 30-40k also plays an important role. Pillion factor plays an important role here. I would prefer a CBR150R with better pillion seat (for wife/mother/kids) than the KTM or R15V2 which make it difficult for a pillion.

                Anyway, lets see what happens.
At 6' tall, I was not at all comfortable on the R15 v1.0 at all. So, when I heard that they came up with a wide seat in R15 v2.0, I was already 4 years older and was put away by the pillion seat. This makes me interested in CBR150R.
I hope they make it comfortable. A comfortable Tourer like CBR 250R

errr...I don't think its a "flaw". It's not commuter friendly, thats all. Sports bikes riding position aren't commuter friendly either, though its definitely not a flaw.

On the topic. If CBR150 is launched in the market at competitive price to R15. I believe it just might edge out the R15. Personally I find both bikes evenly matched as far as performance is concern. Any difference would be too small to make any significance difference.

On sheer looks, I would go with the new R15v2 by a narrow margin. Though, was I to actually buy one. I just might end up with CBR150 as I believe it'll be more friendly for daily use. Performance won't matter a hoot in this case.

                            Wow!! That's great!
Imagine what happens if they price it around 1.1L OTR. It will surley eat R15's market share. As its equally or even slightly better in performace and looks are subjective. Though its a looker by any means. So Yamaha will be forced to either launch a new product in higher CC category or slash the prices of current R15 to remain in the business.

A win win situation for us

                              You should definitely stop dreaming
The R15 v2.0 costs about 1.28 in my city OTR.
The 150R is less than 1.2 ex showroom and that will take the OTR to about 1:35ish
About 7-8 grand difference isnt a problem.
There are people who want a sporty 150cc bike that would cater to a pillion aswell
i believe the CBR is taller than the R15. Correct me if im wrong
