Unfortunately, engine torque does not tell you the full story. What matters is the torque delivered to the wheel, including the effects of the transmission.

      Makes for an interesting read:
The character of a motorcycle, the way it feels, the way it rides, is determined by a combination of many factors. Two of those characteristics are torque an

        It's only a sample for what's required.

Did you find dyno graphs for CBR150R? Do you think CBR150R's power and torque figures at low rpms will be compromised for sake of mileage by Honda?
Please post some road tests, reviews in English if you find any.

        • sushanth - I frankly don't want to put something from a thin air unless things are published through reliable testing or websites. If I find any, I'll contribute for sure.

          • Waiting for the detailed review by the Xbhp guys when they get their hands on this bike.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

                • Had a chance to see this bike closely in Thailand, the bike looks small and compact, I doubt if this bike will give you the big bike feel as the R15 does once seated on it.

I especially loved the look of the exhaust.

I thought its dimensions were almost same as 250R. Also heard that the parts can be shared (between 150R and 250R).

i dont think so,The ZMR is more Torquier(with more CC & similar BHP figs) and would hence be a better tourer.
This CBR has to b priced at <=1.10 Lacs to survive in the market.

Hmm, but than I have never sat on a CBR250R, but I have been on the R15, the R15 feels nice and feels big. May be that explains ...

I have sat and ridden both the R15 and CBR250R and dimensionally the front view of both bikes from the rider's perspective doesn't feel too different.

But the difference in both bikes becomes apparant when they are on the move. The Yamaha R15 feels a class act over the Honda CBR250R just by the way it rides and handles..!! The R15 gives the honest scaled down sensation of "riding" a true Super Sports bike.

I know all the Official talk of the CBR250R as a Sports Tourer and not a Super Sports, but just going by the "Pleasure" of riding, I find riding the R15 a more pleasurable affair.

In comparison the CBR250R just feels like a normal bike with a full fairing. Except for the punchy mid range there was nothing expectional for me to cherish as a memory. It's a good bike and won't make anyone unhappy but then won't blow away with anything particular as well.

                          • Guys, i think cbr150 will be placed a little above or on par with r15.but i do feel r15 is a bit overpriced. One thing certainly to watch out is if cbr 150 is approx 1.2 where i think the duke200 will also be placed(may be otr or showroom) cbr250 is certainly overpriced.
IMO cbr150r will have more buyers due to comfy position and honda's brand image.surely honda will play a mileage game here.(thats what actually honda(HH) made no-1 in india right?).
OT:what are the sales figures of cbr250 and r15.can we do a quick comparison.
Whenever i see bikes or cars i see adrenalin pumps instead of people carriers.Thats the way to define an automobile.

it does infact quite in-your-face kind from rider's perspective

r15 is physically & seems broad as compared to cbr which is akin to a stunner when once astride.
