Just fresh from the CBR experience!!!!!
It is worth every single penny!! All you people waiting so impatiently, this is worth the wait!!!
When you will look back on your decision of buying a CBR250R, you will DEFINITELY have the satisfaction of owning a SPORTSBIKE!!!

Pulls in 4th gear from as low as 30 kmph to 100kmph!!!!!
I am very excited right now. This bike is serious competition to Ninja!
Cheers!

I remember your post where you had said it doesn't have that sportsbike like feeling. And now after you've seen it in flesh, and assuring that it'll be a SPORTSBIKE like feeling, I'm fully satisfied.
Your comments have made me more happy now.
Hope we Bangaloreans can see it in flesh this weekend.Sudeep P Nambiar

Aah! Don't worry, when you park the bike, one does feel like it is a proper sportsbike standing. Though the power delivery is not greater than Ninja.Originally posted by sudeepnbr View PostGreat!!!

And the seating position is midway between a P220 and R15.
The exhaust is downright scooterish!Last edited by nitrosatya; 04-20-2011, 11:04 PM.

It was very short time spent with the bike. The first impression is that of a VFR1200! Something big [and high] in shape standing out in a crowd. The finish is good. The best view is the rear 3/4th. When i saw the front dead on, it looks smaller than the Ninja. Smaller frontal area than the Ninja and R15. The tank rises up smartly from the headstock. Nice tailpiece also. The tyre makes the bike look beefy. The stance as i said earlier is higher than the litre bikes. Where superbikes look as if laying themselves down on the front wheel, this feels as if rising in the front, unlike the Ninja. The front tyre is also quite big and proportionate.Originally posted by aargee View PostWaiting to hear your review Satya - Pls don't disappoint us
The power delivery is linear. Where the Ninja felt rev hungry this was eager to lunge forward. I think this is tall geared. On the Ninja you have to rev the hell out before it gives THE punch. This gives it well below. Did not notice the rpm. Also the torque band is broader. Also did not notice the handling as it was very short one. One thing I felt was that it is not as smooth as an Unicorn
The seating is not at all aggressive as the bigger sportsbikes. Though not upright like my 220.
After the ride i was ripping my 220 and thought,"why the hell is this not running" My 220 felt underpowered instantly!
I hope to get a bigger test ride soon. Will keep you guys updated.

Yesterday enquired about the CBR250 at a local Honda dealer. The sales advisor assured delivery within the last week of May i.e if i would have booked on the spot. He said that the bike would be launched on 25th April and they will receive 10 bikes per month as part of their quota.
So far 14 confirmed bookings had been done at that showroom. There is another showroom which does more business then this particular showroom and i am sure that one would have crossed 20 bookings. So that would make the total tally close to 40 odd units which is quite good for a bike costing over 1.5 lakhs.
Price quoted:1.58 lakhs on-road(Base), 1.8X lakhs(C-ABS)
