really?Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostThe next one to discuss RD, NSR, R15, Ninja, VTR, CBR-RR in this thread will be blessed with a 'moderators' warning and castration!
so that doesn't apply to the GT650R?Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostQuestion to the CBR buyers...
Does the Gt650r launch tempts you, especially with the delay in Honda delivering the product?
besides... there's no reason for someone who's considering buying a CBR250R to even half-seriously consider actually opting for the GT650R.
considering a N250R is a possibility tho. but that's a banned discussion on this thread innit?!?

I think we might go OT hereOriginally posted by satyenpoojary View PostQuestion to the CBR buyers...

If I had 5L with me I would have certainly given it a thaught because we all know how good a bike "Comet" was
but since I do not have the moolah so ther is no point in dreaming about it

If I was interested in a 650 or 600, the gt650 would be the last thing I would go for. I would rather wait for Kawazaki ZX-6R or CBR 600.

I know atleast two prospects who now think that shifting there lumpsum amount to the GT makes more sense...! So was wondering. Besides the CC wars has only one direction to go now
And to answer here on: NO I am not comparing the bike. I am just asking if you have second thoughts on the money you are spending.

Come on guys , let this thread be devoted to CB250R only , Comparison with ninja sounds obvious due to Cubic capacity of bike and some other Bla bla factors we all know them.
But please don't compare CBR250R with GT650R , both bikes are completely different in terms of engine , pricing etc.
It's like people planning for GT650R start comparing it with ZX-6R or R6 .
Please cherish and Enjoy what Honda has delivered at a very good price.

Delivery and diplay in Karnataka
I had a talk with the Area sales head of Karnataka region he says that the delivery will start from first week of may and the display will be from 25 April.
They are planning to have a small launch in Bangalore some time soon.
And he says the delivery will be as per all India booking list and not dealer list.
I have booked my CBR on 7 Jan non abs- red.
Hope to get it in the first week of May.

i dont believe that!! Why will honda do such a thing.. Just calculate the amount of confusion that can create..Originally posted by Viveknpatil View PostI had a talk with the Area sales head of Karnataka region he says that the delivery will start from first week of may and the display will be from 25 April.

Well, i visited my honda dealer and the rep said that the bikes are already in their godown.. He was awaiting his manager to give him a detail of how many bikes have arrived and when is the display bike coming.. But he said, as the bikes are here, atleast the display bike would be in showroom by tommorow and depending on the no. Of. Bikes.. The delivery will start..You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Spoke to an official at HMSI Southern Regional Office (Bangalore) now.
I asked why is the delay in deliveries of the bikes. He replied by telling that they never officially promised any delivery dates. All they have announced is "Delivery commence from April End", and that will happen. So its after 25th of April only.
I asked him how many bikes would be there in the first lot and the following lots. For that he said that he cannot disclose those details to me.
He never mentioned about the delivery based on "All India" booking sequence. And it shouldn't be like that I guess (I mean I've never heard anything like this before). It should be based on the booking at each dealership.
So if you see, Honda is right and It's only the dealers who have been giving us false dates (not sure why).Sudeep P Nambiar

Highly unlikely, next to impossible, for this thing to work there has to be a central database which should record the date along with the time (minutes and seconds includedOriginally posted by Viveknpatil View PostI had a talk with the Area sales head of Karnataka region he says that the delivery will start from first week of may and the display will be from 25 April.

)of each and every booking done throughout India in real time (as soon as the booking is done and the token amount is paid) otherwise if two person from different cities have booked the bike on same day then how will you know that who has booked first
This will only lead to chaosLast edited by shadabk01; 04-20-2011, 06:12 PM.

From my R15 experience .. i can say..here what happens in such new launches ...
based on booking per showroom the bikes will be delivered to showrooms .. say one showroom booked high number of bikes then they receive in good number of bikes .. and less for the lesser booked showroom .. here the number of bikes will be in far less than anticipating say for showroom ordered 40 bikes then ...there are chances that that showroom might get around 18-20 bikes in first lot
and in first lot they try to distribute to all showrooms in min quantity ..
and now its depend on showroom how they allot the bikes to customers .. either by list or by recommendation or even for premium amount.
OT: i remembered when R15 launched there were very less bikes in first lot and one guy even got the minister recommendation to get the bike
