Dont ask me why, might be due to Indian-isation of the assembly process. I am planning to do a camera juggad and use a video camera in place of rear view mirror. In that way, a ride report will be easier.

Thats news. Great initiative bro. Now all we need a group ride with all CBR's all over the country.

    Nooooooo

Btw, my dealer is absconding I guess. Yesterday when I called them a number of times, they just cut my call. Guess they are irritated with my calling them and asking again and again about Honda... Time to call them from a different number!!!
Hhaahhaahaha. Yeah start doing that man. Or just wait for them to call you, try giving a dharna outside the showroom Ajay Hazare for CBR250R in Bangalore

Apparently, The C-ABS does have NISSIN and the non-ABS has BYBRE. Someone needs to get this clarified though.

This seems to be just an excuse from the showroom guys, don't get me wrong but the missing screw thing is something which should be taken care by the factory, no bike is assembled at the showroom (other than SBK and in there case i believe that only the tyres needs to be put back on the bike and the other PDI stuff, please correct me if I am wrong)

Lets hope that this is not the case with all the bikes coming out.

P.S: I love CBR but the constant issue with the quality is scary.
No, the glitch that I told him was for a misfit in one of the fibre parts - Not a biggie. And that could have easily been rectified at the showroom. And as said by someone else, the missing bolt might be of the ABS kit. As far as i observed, the quality is top notch. Too much is being spoken about it. I fail to understand the hyperactive reaction of people about this. Not referring to anyone in particular, but IMO, Honda has put up a great quality bike. This is going to be a legendary ride! After looking at the bike in person, i can safely say that quality is not going to be a concern. This is just my opinion though. The issue is still open for debate... ...and yes, Peace!

      • Who was the one talking about part sharing?? People said the indicators and switch consoles are shared with dazzler and stunner.. Wrong!!
The indicators on the dazzler are same as on the CBR but they are same as the Thai CBR.. And about the switch console, its neither from a CB unicorn, nor the dazzzler and definately not from the stunner.. Take a close look.. its exactly the same as on the Thai CBRz except the light ON-OFF switch which has been added and is a empty space in the Thai one..

Unicorns switch console (same on old one)

        Indian CBRz Console

        Thai CBRz console

I had already posted the comparing pics of the indicators before..

I know the designs arent much different.. but it is not a direct lift from any indian bike and definately not a part sharing..

P.S: The white markings on the switch console remind me of my pulsars console (Amber markings on unicorns).. everything at the same place too(on pulsar).. I hope even this has a white backlight as on the pulsar.. looks cool at night..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Yes, exactly why i took pics of the switches. They don't seem to be like a lift from any of the current Honda bikes in India.

Anyway, let's not micro analyze till the actual bikes are out for distribution...

As I have observed, the switch gears of all the Honda bikes including the 600 have the same look. So, one can say, the Indian Honda's, possibly also Thai Hondas, are also getting similar switches. That means, you can fit the same switch on Dazzler and on the 600.
Part sharing with Indian Hondas is evident from the mirror holding holes. This should not exist unless, the switch gear were specially made for CBR.
Do not expect them to be backlit!!! As I have perceived, Honda have invested heavily on the engine technology and have cut down costs on secondary things as indicators, switches, seat quality, fairing plastic... For example, even R15 was boasted of as having "top notch" quality plastic fairings only to contradict the facts. Yamaha has been replacing the damaged fairings for free of cost.

2 cylinder/single cylinder, 26bhp/33bhp, kicking a** - all these things put it to rest. Why we need it?

Deliveries will begin soon and lets welcome the bike on the Indian roads. Good for all fellow bikers that we are seeing action in 250cc segment as well and choices are increasing.

Comparisions should be healthy and not trying to prove superiority. For years we struggled to get decent bikes, now time has arrived so lets enjoy it.
what u say is right.. but even talking about mod for CBR gets people into trouble.. lol but one thing i don't understand is, why Compare new tech Honda to a 20year old Ninja or 3year old R15?? once CBR is out and yamaha FZ250 is out then we can do what ever comparison we want for now.. just dream about our Baby

if some thing is Compared its only to know superiority.. or els we dont have to Compare right ?

Talking about mods without even having the bike is invitation to trouble sir.
Go ahead compare Chalk and cheese for Superiority....

PS: Get the bike, put your words into action, and trust me a lot of us would be your fans. Even Joel puts his concepts at work before making any claims on them, heck he is a factory tuner now! Who knows! May be someday we will 'ask' you for your tips!

                  Question to the CBR buyers...
Does the Gt650r launch tempts you, especially with the delay in Honda delivering the product?

The switch gear does not have the the mirror holding holes.. They are on the clutch yoke and the front disc master cylinder assembly. and as stated above by fellow members, the R15, fazer and even the Ninja 250R (as mentioned by someone a few pages ago) has the extra mirror holding holes.. There might be a purpose for it.. and alteast honda has covered it with a screw at both sides.. (Check the pics above..)

                    • Appriciate honda

I have been a silent observer of the thread from last 2 months,

and have read almost all the pages....and checking the page every hour in office also.....

I don't understand why people are talking about quality, even when they haven't seen it in flesh..

Guys you should appreciate Honda for a master piece in great price.

Stop talking about the quality and

let's appreciate honda for a wonderful bike

I am apprehensive about investing on the Korean, would rather consider used Japanese.

Exactly! What made me not so excited about the launch.

                              Nope.
I consider myself as a casual biker, and also would like to keep feasibility in mind. CBR 250R fits the bill perfectly for me. (I was hell bent on getting the Ninja 250, but this one makes more sense).
I might have considered Hyosung 250 if it was launched earlier than the Honda, but Honda's move is commendable.

                              Thanks Honda!..
