Just kidding. As of now CBR 250RR is not in production, lets move on with 250 R.

I will not be surprised, if display bike comes to Bangalore in May. Any one from Bangalore checked with City Honda???

      • The Pune display model looks good. But I found a chink in the armor Have a look here.

Could be a missing bolt while assembling the parts.

        • Dudes update from Mumbai,

A friend of MYG124 got a call from Jhaveri Honda (Fort) that he will be given the delivery next week.

I assume all over India the deliveries will begin from 25th April ie exact one month after the launch of CBR 25th March.

          Yup maybe
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

          • Satyen: With due reference to your blog, why dont you shoot a nice sweet letter to Honda, asking them to start considering selling 600s here, heck even making them!

And all this hoopla about take the bike to the track is sometimes gross. Its the handling of the bike that makes riding in spaced out roads fun. Does every guy who own a R15 or Ninja take it some track in their respective cities?( provided there are any )

Why would someone want to buy if this is going to be their LAST big bike? Why not someone buy a C250R now & think of buying a 400/600 when they're being manufactured in India from a few years from now OR may be after 5-6 years (even if they're available in the same route)?
When I said Last, I meant 'last'. If you have an intent to buy something bigger, then it aint your last
The rationale doesnt hold true for you, so move on and find a header suitable for you! Simple!

Ha ha, I did write about the 600 sometime back, but then this is a great machine to sell in bulk and mint money for Honda. So no 600s in the distant future, unless the game changes from a certain bajaj, (or TVS -ok thats a joke!)

Just yesterday I was talking to someone about the Ninja and (listening) how its so much better than the CBR.

My reply (purely in jest) was simple. At the cost of that 'extra' cylinder I can buy ANOTHER CBR! or a R15+racing suit, or TWO souped RTRs!. Still need the Ninja for a Track day?

PS: Dont discuss the blog here :P Sunny might douse me with fuel and burn me alive for stealing traffic if he doesnt, I know bad man Sunil G would!

              • Satyen: lol. No man but it may pop up anytime.

With regards to owning a Ninja or a R15, I still dont and wont buy the thought of the 'track' thing people keep mentioning again and again. Keep talking as if we have splendid tarmac all around us, mannered traffic etc etc.

The Ninja maybe better to the CBR with that extra cylinder thrown in, but its days are now done. And I guess so, rightfully. Wont elaborate.

Definitely handling/stability of a bike gives fun where ever you ride. But its more fun in the tracks where you discover the real potential of the bikes. That's the same reason why R15/Ninja owners are invited to tracks by Yamaha/Bajaj every year. Participating in such an event is subjective. I hope Honda will do the same.

                    TRUE

I hope even Honda calls us like Bajaj & Yamaha calls their sports bike owners after all we OWN a CBR so like them even we should be given such opportunities

Someone tell this to HONDA politely

Frankly, even i pointed out another glitch in the assembly. They'd assembled the bike to put it on display by today. The dude told me that they'll rectify these errors after the showroom closes for the day...
The showroom probably wanted the novel value of being the first one to have a display bike in Pune...
Anyway, let's wait for the actual delivery lot to arrive before concluding anything..

I agree. But I wish to ask, to what degree? I haven't ridden the CBR yet so wont comment. Again, the company calls only a select few. What about the rest of us who dont even use the bikes potential in the city! Why would someone want to keep a thing of which he wont even use a percent.

Regarding the track, the Jaypee circuit is nearing completion. And the Honda headquarters are also nearby I foresee Honda calling CBR owners for a track day pretty soon.

Pointer: Yaar! same thing happened with the Mumbai model. Anyways. Awaiting deliveries now.

No offense. I can buy another pulsar 220 at the 'extra' cost of CBR 250, which gives no 'extra' cylinder. I rode Ninja for around 8K (not track days included). By the way, how many days/KMs a common man will ride in a track??? As both bikes are not super bikes, we will use it more in Indian traffic, not in tracks.

You should experience it like experiencing love, to know it. Rest of the people who don't want to keep, which they don't even use a percent; CBR is the answer

We are going out of track. Itching to test ride the CBR 250. It should be stable, as well as nimble. Any news about test rides?????

                            • You guys are unbelievable...you see one "hole" somewhere in the bike and suddenly this is an assembly glitch? If every hole had to be filled with a bolt and nut then I'd like to see what your brake disk looks like and how much fun you'd have riding a bike like that.
