The horn is puny atleast on the bike I rode. The owner of showroom was saying this wasnt the final product, the final product will be better in term of finish and quality (though i dont think any of this is actually true but who knows)

The gear shifts are smooth As far as i can remember, maybe smoother than the Ninja as the Ninja has quite positive but stiff gears, you need to apply decent amt of pressure on the lever. (please keep in mind it was only a few hundred metres test ride i had )

    • The review seems to be good

Well I havent ridden a twin cylinder so for me it wont make a difference and I know CBR n Ninja are both best in their own ways

      Way to go HONDA!!!! FTW!!!
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

      • ppl discussing about mods .. plz get the bike first ..

its like ..baby still not yet born ..but already fighting for a name

Get the bike first .. let it run for a couple of thousand kms .. and then start thinking of mods ..

A big sound is not only illegal to use on road but.. very irritating to public .. at least for me .. unnecessary noise pollution

Rightly said Naga...thats very responsible riding... infact, mods like these are what have put bad perception about bikers in the minds of the general public - unsafe riding, loud horns, nuisance exhausts etc...they are just not part of a good riding!!

you are right, most modded bullets are so harsh on ears...X-(

                  • Nobody bothers about a bullet. Customize it the way you want and no cop will even stop you or complain on the mods.

Try getting caught with a any other bike even with some paint job, and you will know what I mean.

I am wondering which cover, polish should I be using for this bike? I see a lot of matte finish in there.

You cant force idiots to do the right thing! It comes from within!

I strongly oppose such shitty mods that create loud noise! On the contrary I want the bike to be as silent as possible! Not even the ride should hear the sound! Now thats what i call a class bike

Regarding polish the ones below are the best and in that order...

                          1. Meguiars (the best so far and sworn by many detailers across the world) - Cost : very expensive. IIRC its approx 1k for a tin.

                          2. Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell (i use this and its very good). Cost - 250 rupees for a jar/tin.

                          3. ArmorAll Wash n Wax (this is a shampoo containing carnauba wax) - i use this too and it gives a superb sheen to the bike. No need to wax polish the bike after a wash. Wax polish can be done IF needed only once in 2 months or so. Costs 350 odd rupees for a bottle (500 ml IIRC).

I bought mine almost a year back and wash the bike almost every fortnight or so. Still have half the bottle contents remaining. All that is needed is 2-3 capfulls in a bucket of water for super foamy shampoo. Its highly concentrated so a couple of capfulls is all that is needed for a bucketfull of water.

                          4. Most important - Never use a rag, old torn banian (vest) or undies or any other piece of clothing to wash the bike or to dry it.

For this buy microfiber cloth which is super-absorbent (absorbs water like a sponge and wont scuff, scratch or damage the paint). Turtle wax has a set of 3 MF towels for around 600 odd rupees. Total VFM and highly recommended. Use one to wash, one to dry and the third to wax the bike I have been using this for almost a year and absolutely love it.

                          • Here seems to be already a competitor getting ready in the design room...from the BikeIndia's April'11 issue, Yamaha is readying 250CC version of the current FZ-16 with engine specs matching CBR250...price quoted between 1.4-1.6 lakh
