Sudeep as far i know its a standard for Eu countries to have bikes head lights always on [it helps in lot of ways] ..

Ninja also has lower beam always ON and in high beam both headlight will be ON .. and i am not sure about CBR ..but assuming it to be a universal bike for all the markets .. similar feature will be present

CBR is latest in biking .. and don;t they [Honda] know the facts of Ninja or can't they bring a bike more powerful than Ninja ..sure they do and they can .. but still why didn;t they do it ?

The ans is fairly simple .. as time passes new technologies will emerge and which suits the current and future time .. now why did they go for single cylinder ? becoz its gonna be the future of the biking word now .. [Moto GP rules and u can see lot of other players also going for single] ..and why only 26bhp ? .. it will help increase milage and helps in reducing pollutions and all over the world new pollution norms are getting tough and restricted ..and this bike is for universal consumption .. where as Ninja primary focus was to Europe and its loaded with the tech on that time when it came out freshly ..

with the time tech is will better only .. and not the otherway ..

Now if anyone feels like going for Ninja ..sure they can ..if they can afford .. i am sure next ninja version will also be in tune with global standards [similar to honda cbr]

Well i totally agree wid you.. But I was talking about "Petrol Heads" for whom mileage isn't an issue.. Well not everyone would understand that as most of the Asian bike market is driven by the mileage mania.. Just hope twin/triple/four cylinder bikes don't die out.. So we are progressing by decreasing cylinders.. Future of biking -- Electric bikes which have awesome mileage and pseudo green notion attached to dem..

In that case, I want to know how do we turn off the headlights in daytime then? From the pics, I can't find any switch for that.

BTW, neither did I hurt my feelings (I chose not to book the CBR250 when the Honda sales girl was persuading me to book it...) nor am I jumping like a kid as I am waiting for the other 250s (or more powerful bikes) to be launched this year...

For me the Ninja is a better bike than the Honda... Yes the Honda is new... But in da end of the day its not what appeals to ME.. N dats a PERSONAL view... Don't get hurt by it..!!!!!!!!

I suppose he meant Crank shaft. As far as I know crank shaft has counter-weight. If I am not wrong, the counter-weight is designed as if it appears like an integral part of the design of a crank shaft.

May be Sai wanted to say that this crankshaft is of different design or something like that which makes the engine more smoother or something like that.

lights would be ON as long as the bike in ON ... you cant turn them off unless you turn off the bike...safety feature for Oncoming traffic

Yes,..but how many petrol heads are there ? i don;t think any comp will come out with bike only for 5% of ppl who loves high power ..it doesn;t make any sense to them

U can't !! in Ninja also u can;t turn it off

If you check my previous post I have mentioned that I am happy to see that the CBR250R can compete with the Ninja 250r after watching the video provided by bprags. I never said the CBR250R could beat the Ninja or vice-versa. Lets wait for a couple of shoot-outs between the two bikes for some concrete results.

I find it irritating not because of the comparo between a Ninja and a CBR 250R, and which is faster/slower. A Rx100 guy overtook me on the highway earlier this month at 100kmph - does that I mean I sell my Ninja and buy a 848? No.

I find this irritating because of the amount of misinformation which has filled in the CBR threads. Started with ABS, and then went on from there. Someone was also talking about the CBR doing 200 kmph. You know what I mean.

A few people tried to talk sense, but it made as much difference as pouring a bottle of Evian mineral water into a mud pond.

Very true as there's no point in arguing over something that doesn't make sense to them as well as to us. Better to watch the thread's proceedings rather than to give comments that will not be valued by fanboys.

What we are witnessing on XBHP is NEW people getting first taste of a fully faired international sportsbike.

As a result we are seeing so many amateur posts. Just sign up and post anything. No idea whether the subject has been already discussed.

Just imagine if the import duties were abolished and we get sbks at their original price!

But still the bike is pretty quick.
