Dude, you are really getting to be a bore. Every time I open this thread eagerly to get some news about the bike, I find you posting yet another meaningless banter. You seem to be really full of yourself, Mr. mechanical Engineer.Originally posted by saikamaldoss

Am cool.. Coming back to the bike, I'd earlier asked if I could purchase the larger windscreen and the Moriwaki muffler in India. Will Honda officially sell them here or do we order them from Bangkok?Originally posted by sunilg View Postenough guys! we've had enough of your intellectual masturbation on the forum. Please behave yourselves before we are forced to take action.

I am pretty sure they will not sell any aftermarket stuff at Honda showrooms. If they do, I think it will be a first for any two-wheeler showroom in India.Originally posted by Puffdamgcdragon View PostAm cool.. Most probably, you will have to source it from abroad.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Here we go again......
iss thread ka kuch nahi ho sakta
Everytime I come to see this thread to get some latest updates on the CBR pricing or launch updates but what I get is information about a bike which is not even launched and from those people who have not even touched it forget about riding it...
We are not here to prove our point or prove anyone else wrong, the discussion should be constructive in nature which sadly is not happening at all.
and all the so called automobile engineers instead of asking other people to shut up and wait for the bike to launch why can't they themselves hold there horses till the bike is launched
@MODS: Please delete my post if I have added to the meaning less discussion going on but I can not see a nice thread going down in drain.
I am out of here now........

btw, rishabh, how could you be so eagle eyed.. you found the missing pass switch lol
if it does not have a pass switch, I believe that it could have day running lights!! (just guessing).Last edited by ROCKRZ; 01-20-2011, 06:16 PM.Suffering from Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

A 1984 model CBX250RS single cylinder made 31BHP and here are the specs
Honda CBX250
with just a valve overlap you can get the same on CBR250R and i will show it once i get the bike. till then lets not talk about it.

Awe! So sad, you deleted a cheap potshot on me?Originally posted by saikamaldossif you can find a CBR250RR Exhaust.. it should do just fine.
This post of yours clarifies everything! A 4cylinders exhaust on a single cylinder machine! What about the 3 extra pipes? Show them up somewhere safe on a similar sounding word like you?Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Hello......
Hello guys... I am Shivaprasad who just got into XBHP from Bangalore. Firstly I am one of those who have booked their CBR250Rs on 1st Jan. So, I have a reason to pitch in this thread.
Strictly sticking to the topic of the thread, I like to post few questions seeking answers from the knowledgeable XBHPians.
1. I am disappointed about the mileage claims of the CBR250R which is about 25-30 kmpl. At this figure, the bike is touted as highly fuel efficient!!
Recently, I read reviews of RE Classic 500 in some auto sites and found out that mileage of this fat bike has been found to be the same or slightly better at 27kmpl.
Now, I am jealous about the Classic that despite its 20kg excess mass, badly accused archaic engine technology can beat the CBR on mileage front and on power front too with 27bhp.
Could anyone explain what could make the bullet so envious to me please?
2. I have read in this thread few pages back that it is now standardized that 250CC bikes have to be single cylinders. Any idea whats the purpose of making them singles?
3. Lastly, a layman's question. Please do not kick me out of here for this. Why shoould a bike cost more than a car any day? A car looks to be taking in more of everything than a bike in the manufacturing process - more materials, more time, labour etc etc... So, why should Honda CBR250R or any other bike of this class should cost more than say a TATA Nano or a similar small car?

I was desperate for buying a good performance bike for the last one year and I had zeroed in on R15 without a better choice despite its bad looks and high cost (R15 fans and owners, kindly excuse me for this). One fine day I happened to read about the CBR and was instantly attached to it and decided to buy it any day. I just want to ride the bike and those were some questions I had in my mind and not certainly factors for nnot choosing the bike.Originally posted by bprags View PostI am surprised you went ahead and booked the CBR inspite of all that you have mentioned here
