As per my knowledge (wat I've heard from my dealers), they'll be getting the display bike only in the month of March (after 20th)

Only the 3 colors that are mentioned in the brochure are available. Honda might bring HRC later. But right now its only these 3.

Here in Bangalore, my dealer is asked to take as many bookings as possible till March end. As on today, they've 25 bookings. All those who book during this period will be able to get their delivery in April. Those who book in April, will again have a waiting period.

    • @Satyen - The picture that you had posted was CB dazzler and not 250. From what I knew only two bikes came around October which was being tested at the small testing section they had in Manesar plant.

Yup agreed, the only unexplained bit was that the member confirmed that it was clicked while riding at 110KMPH, on that speed the Dazzler with that bulky rider sitting upright is something that is a bit confusing.

And you know better about the test mules

          • Guys any idea what these fella's are talking about. Headlight automatically turning on or is it always on like the Ninja?
The guy owning the CBR seems to be very impressed with the headlight.

The lights are turned on automatically and there is a switch on the left handle bar that locks the high beam (which is really really really good, for a change)...
There is also a switch so you can blink the high beam when overtaking or signaling oncoming traffic...

Their sentence construction is bad. All it means is that the light stays on (always) like the Ninja & other bigger bikes.
& he's mentioning about the 'high beam' switch, & 'pass' switch.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

              • Euro specced so I guess the lights are always on.
                (just my guess though)

I live in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. Can I book from Panvel? I will still have to get the bike registered in Mumbai right?

Want to get clarity on the process as I don't know much about it!

Meanwhile, did call them up and even they were unsure of whether I am 'allowed' to book the bike from them!!!! They said they will call back in the evening.

here you go, if you use power management tool like power commander and release the Rev Limiter on CBR, you will be able to take the engine till 13000RPM and you will get better power than Ninja.

The rear wheel BHP difference is only 3.4bhp and you can bring it down to 2.4 and you need to understand that the 2BHp is coming out @ 10.4k and please don't confuse yourself with Japan spec, the New Ninja makes 32Bhp@ 10500RPM and on the Rear wheel it makes 25.4BHp and Honda Makes 26.4Bhp @8500RPM and on the rear wheel its 21.93BHP.

Thanks for the dyno chart. Now i have something conclusive to work with

Haha maybe! Well I'm planning for the next set of works and also get a dyno run completed if my budget holds up on my next visit to Joel's.

Honda 250 is a nice bike but too bad Honda choose not to use their old inline 4 engine in this 250. I would have most likely booked one by now if it were the case. Anyways no worries here. My current ride is plenty fun right now.

                            I hope you don't mean booking an inline 4 for 1.5-1.8 lakhs ex-showroom .

                              • These days I ride rarely only for the fun of it but I definetly desire this one. Saturday took out my more then nine year old P180 for a ride and after 20 km or so decided that I still loved biking and went to get the CBR booked at the closest showroom and reaching there came to know that they are closed on saturdays. Came back and cooled down. Now really think whether I should book the bike or wait and let the bike get released in India before booking one. The reason I am apprehensive is why should Honda start booking before so many months? This bike should not be having huge demand for a player like Honda with a local factory so as not to be able to fulfill it. What say guys? I am all of 37 now and this will in all probability be my last bike for myself before I buy one for my son some 13-14 years in future. I wanted to buy one very cautiously now and enjo it for a long time .. the way I want
