Just a small confession, nowadays xbhp seems to have become much more like "orkut" community threads before everyone got 'facebook-ed'. It is definitely a turn off.

If you are talking about me then I feel your pain man.

I too would have got a bit irritated if I currently owned a Ninja 250R, but why don't we act maturely as grown ups and not take things too personal.

If you check my previous post I have mentioned that I am happy to see that the CBR250R can compete with the Ninja 250r after watching the video provided by bprags. I never said the CBR250R could beat the Ninja or vice-versa. Lets wait for a couple of shoot-outs between the two bikes for some concrete results.

we can also talk about modding it and ideas to make it a better bike than what it is...

also can talk about increasing compression ratio, removing rev limiter and changing power curve using valve overlap and increasing valve lift using lobe etc nice mod can make it go 200+ hmm can only dream for now my Xtream is limited because of air cooled engine.. hmmm
Saw some of your comments on another website. This is cool. I will try a few mods after using the bike for a year or so.

ok lets talk facts. please do notice that the bike is a single cylinder taken of a cbr100rr along with the technology. u can relax and not to worry about tappet sound or engine heating up. this little engine is more than what you think it is. the valve system uses shim type and u can beat the hell out of it and will still be smooth and the crank comes with counterweight to smooth out the engine at high speeds. what honda did : took a cbr1000RR and took one cylinder out of it and reduced the compression ratio from 12.3:1 to 10:7:1 and lowered the RPM from 13000 to 8500 so if you increase the compression and rpm back to original, your CBR250R will produce 44BHP and can reach 225km/h 26.7bhp@8500 RPM?"

            • So...much of gyaan even before the bike could land in India and these are mere speculation and not fact that has been proved here. Agreed that the bike is real quick & stuff, but do we have any assurance that the same will be brought down to India? Even though it's a global launch we still have been left in the dark about the ground specs that's coming to India, so instead of taking this thread under a serious scanner & leading to somewhere, can we talk something sensible without basing each other & stop being fan boys?

              • i personally wanted to own ninja250. But didntnt hav money to own it. When i saw pics & price of cbr250 i thought it was a beautiful sports bike with great price and booked it. Performance was in compared to ninja may be a little less but was ok for me as i own a fz 16 & jumping from 14 to 26 bhp is not bad. When pulsar250 will come it will attrack many people. I may not like that one but that doesnt mean i will get irritated or hate pulsar or other pulsar lovers and start spreading my hatred all over the thread. These peoples are not bike lovers. They are possesed by their own bikes and to them all other bike & bike lovers are nonsense. If u are irritated and dont like the cbr then why are u posting words of hatred in this post. And if u still keep doing these things then my middle finger is for you...

I think you should refrain yourself from using such words on a public forum my friend. For your information this thread is under scanner.

                  • In the 0-100 video posted back a few pages! If you look closely enough at the start of the video, the bike is indeed not moving! So a time posted is really impressive! Also the 0-60 is bellow 3 seconds! OMG that sound fun!

Anyone got any figures (from other forums) of the 100-0 braking stats?

Congrats on booking the 250R.. Quite frankly even I am very very tempted to book it, despite my 220 still running kickass!

let me get my hands on.. sad that i have to wait for 2 more moths
RD is 350cc parallel twin 2 stroke engine. CBR is 250cc(lesser capacity) single cylinder 4 stroke engine!!! How can we think about comparing??? Ah! may be CBR has better handling, braking and top speed!!! but in the acceleration / 0-100 department, I think RD beats it!!

                        .....
and whats CeeBeer?? CBR ?? if i have it . i would be knowing the exact numbers and wont have to waste time searching for it
I guess it should be "see beee aaarrr" !!!!

                        • Dont know how many of you will agree with me.. But if i buy da new CBR250R, and some crazy day a Ninja250R stops next to me in the traffic light.. I would know that its da Ninja I always craved for (as any petrol head would) but settled for the CBR which was just a value for money bike..

In fact I read many CBR250 MC19 owners r furious at Honda for bringing out the new CBR which has just 26BHP... For dem its just a CB250 n dey say da "R" letter should be dropped... Remember da older developed 45PS..!!!! (MC22 developed 40PS)

I know the new CBR has loads of tech going into it.. But in da end it would not be a decision from my heart but my brain/pockets.. Just a food for thought.. N den there's da rumor of Bajaj/Kawasaki planning to localize Ninja parts to bring the price down.. (Just a rumor but still makes me happy from widin..)

Sorry if i hurt anyone's feelings..

I am not sure to what extent Bajaj would want to reduce the price of the baby Ninja. May be the spare parts price would be reduced!!

                            • Can someone explain me about the "Always ON Headlight" which was mentioned few pages back.
Someone said that when you Switch ON the bike, the headlights are ON automatically.
Also, from the bike pics, I don't find a Headlight ON/OFF switch. Is this available in other bikes too? How does this work?

I don't know abt the others but u hurt ur own feelings i guess ..

U should analyse the situation before just jumping like kids whenever we see the things ..

CBR is latest in biking .. and don;t they [Honda] know the facts of Ninja or can't they bring a bike more powerful than Ninja ..sure they do and they can .. but still why didn;t they do it ?

The ans is fairly simple .. as time passes new technologies will emerge and which suits the current and future time .. now why did they go for single cylinder ? becoz its gonna be the future of the biking word now .. [Moto GP rules and u can see lot of other players also going for single] ..and why only 26bhp ? .. it will help increase milage and helps in reducing pollutions and all over the world new pollution norms are getting tough and restricted ..and this bike is for universal consumption .. where as Ninja primary focus was to Europe and its loaded with the tech on that time when it came out freshly ..

with the time tech is will better only .. and not the otherway ..

Now if anyone feels like going for Ninja ..sure they can ..if they can afford .. i am sure next ninja version will also be in tune with global standards [similar to honda cbr]
