First week of May is almost over and still many cities have not started the deliveries. Forget about deliveries, not even a test ride.
+1 for that ... No test rides here in baroda also. I even mailed all three showrooms asking for test ride. and on second mail Apple Honda called. When I asked for test ride he said its not yet launched and will be launched on 10th May. .... C.R. Scooters says that bike is not yet registered so cannot give test ride ....

They give same replies ... asked 2 3 times. Bought a Red P-220 F instead now.

Lets see when they give test ride ...

Firstly, good to see someone from baroda
I also had experienced same "tarikh pe tarikh" scenerio with CR. Initially they said display bikes would come on 20th, which arrived on 28th, then regarding test rides, they dont have clue.
Does it take ages to register ONE bike for test ride??
God knows what will happen to deliveries.
First it was with Activas, now with CBRs

if more people join we can cancel in bulk.
Let them sell to others if they want, they should know that they will make other bikes customers think once if this brand is trustworthy.
          3 things here guys..
          1) We have waited for more than 4 months now. That will go in vain.
          2) Cancelling is not going to help matters. I dont think Honda will be bothered as there is a huge demand. They will allot the bike to someone else and we will move down in the list.
          3) Even if we manage to put some pressure and push Honda to deliver the bikes quickly, we might end up with a sub standard piece that they will assemble in a hurry and send out.

The only fear that I have right now is that we should not end up with a Lemon after waiting for 5 months. I hope the bikes whicha re delivered to us are not like the ones put up for display which have lot of issues.

          • If honda doesnt speed up their deliveries, they could lose a lot of their preorders and those who preorder are the ones who are actually passionate about biking, they could lose credibility in the eyes of the biking community. sigh...

+1... I know the wait is killing everyone, but still...
I had sold my bike a month ago to arrange finances for this, and now I don't have a bike of my own. (using a friend's HH Passion Plus for commuting to office).

But if you already have any other option in mind, then there is no harm in cancelling.
For me, this is the best that fits my budget and needs as of now. So I choose to wait.

              • Thats a good idea Guys. Honda is taking buyers for a ride, and this is not done. I like the idea of bulk cancellation across the country, and no bookings for next 2-3 months. Its our hard earned money, and nobody should think about taking Indian Customers for a ride. Its time to think beyond personal Gains.

                • 5 months seem to be a universal thing in chennai. I got it from JSP Honda. Dunno what others are saying.

Its not a matter of personal gains.... Think logically. When you say bulk cancellations.. how many people do you think will cancel? Maybe 20-30 from xbhp and another 20 from outside. If you look at it location wise how many from each state.. not much. So what difference is 50 cancellations going to make when Honda already has over 2000 bookings and they are getting many new bookings each day.

                    EDIT: 3000 bookings.

I have got my new Nuvo SP2 Special Edition helmet couple of weeks back. So for time being I'm drooling over it.

There's a power that comes from deep inside of you
'Cause every day you're reaching toward the light
And you know there's a long long way ahead of you
But when your wheels get you there,
                              Things will turn out right!

                              • This is a bad news for sure. Now, with the excited buyers around if Yamaha launches a 250 cc bike preferably R-series inherited, they would be benefited the most out of the current scenario. Bajaj can even stimulate the mass by cutting down the price of kwacker a bit. I must say, its overall a bad start for Honda. Is Honda listening? lol
