Come with me and I'll give you the bike if you want...they called me and asked me to come pay-up for delivery in 10 days.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View Posti called vihaan honda.. The guy said there must be some misunderstanding.. We are delivering the bike to only customers who booked it in Jan & Feb.. And also quoted me a 5months waiting if i book now!!! I told him i can pay cash.. But he just denied..
PM me and I'll reply with my number.
I can get my booking amount back either ways but why not let the bike go to a fellow Xbhpian?

Hey dude i remember when i took the delivery of my beloved apache had the same issue a scratch on the tank, they accepted to change the tank once they get a new spare tank and they did few weeks later. You can ask for the same deal with your dealer. Congrats!!Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostGuys.. My dealer received one display bike today.. After the two bikes he sold.. And it has a minor scratch on the tank.. Very minor and can be hidden by a tankpad.. I asked him if he can deliver that bike to me and he said he will confirm and tell me day after tommorow. According to him, they also got a mail from honda saying that there wont be any bikes coming from the factory for two months due to part availabilty problem.. What should i do guys? I want the bike asap due to my exams.. And i had already planned for a tankpad.. So should i accept it if he is ready to deliver?? Any suggestions? I am too impulsive and loose my ability to think well in such situations.. So asking you guys..Last edited by Youngking; 05-05-2011, 04:50 PM.Explore the unexplored!

Anybody interested in taking over the booking?
My booking number is 11 at Silicon Honda in Bangalore. Delivery expected in May end or early June.
"If at all" I cancel the booking, would anybody be interested in taking it over? But please, do not bank on me. I will confirm after may be I take the test ride this weekend or early next week.
Just wanted to keep XBHPians informed who could benefit out of it.

Hi all,
It's rather late but I just went to take a test ride of the baby ceeber. The showroom guy was more interested in riding my Ninja than giving me a test ride. Finally, I rode it and here is what I felt:
1. The initial pick-up is good, smooth gear shifts and smooth clutch operation.
2. The idling sound is just like the Unicorn.
3. When I pushed the bike, the throttle response was good but it sounded like a big bore Unicorn.
4. The quality of finish at the clip-on bars and the frame near the engine is not up to the mark. You can clearly see the welding joints there.
5. I rode the ABS version and braking was really spot on.
6. Overall, the bike felt smaller as compared to my Kwacker.
7. After riding the Honda, when I rode my Kawasaki, it seemed as if I was riding a 650cc or something. (no offense, just my feeling)
All in all, the Honda is a good sporty looking tourer but if you want a proper sport, spend a bit more and buy the Kwacker.

All the dilemma could be due to the recent tsunami in Japan and the unexpected (for Honda) number of bookings.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostGuys.. I suggest to wait unless you are 100% sure that the bike is absolutely fine and they are willing to change the tank later, as suggested by Youngking. The decision made once cannot be changed. More exams will come and the situations will change; it should not affect the purchase of the bike.
However the situation is really bad. A new owner has to check the bike and purchase it like buying a second hand bike. If few deliveries are not made by Honda by the 2nd week of May all over India, it will be a bad impression about HMSI. I don't think contacting Honda in India and complaining will change anything. They know the situation better than us. It might make a difference, if we forward our dissatisfaction to a much higher level.

HEY THATS A GOOD COMPARISON OF THE NINJA AND CBR....i guess the cbr is a more refined and comfortable sport bike as compared to the green beast....it all depends on the liking and tastes....oh and about the honda guys....they always are interested in other company bikes lol...cheersOriginally posted by dushyant View PostHi all,

That sounds a great idea!! Actually!! Very true!! when he showed me the bike (Today, red) and the scratch, i had to examine it like buying a used bike.. Though he hasn't confirmed if it can be delivered.. But i remember, there was also something on the tank (at lower left side) of the black CBR he showed me last week.. i couldnt confirm if that was damaged paint (it seemed so) or bird poop.. but the guy was trying to hide it.. I really doubt these bikes now.. Oil leakage.. then a whole truck of CBRs rejected as damaged.. what is Honda trying to do..? They could had asked time to launch the bike instead of sending such bikes.Originally posted by sreehari_r1 View PostAll the dilemma could be due to the recent tsunami in Japan and the unexpected (for Honda) number of bookings.

Called up Sapphire Honda again to enquire about test rides and deliveries. They say that they've not got permission from Honda to start the deliveries or Test rides in Bangalore it seems. I don't understand what problem does Honda have with deliveries in Bangalore when it's already started in other cities.
I also asked him whether the next lot would be coming after a gap of 2 months (as someone had mentioned before). He said there is nothing like that. They are getting the bikes, but less in numbers. Also ABS versions would take more time.Sudeep P Nambiar

The kerb weight mentioned in the Honda India site is 167 kg.. And in the Honda Global site its mentioned as 359 lbs (=162.839 kg)..
So it seems in the honda India site, the weight mentioned is only for the C-ABS one and in the Global site for the STD one..
