I spoke to the Service Manager at JSP, kukatpally. The above information was given by him. I do not exactly know where the bikes are being displayed now; I am going for my bike's service tomorrow to JSP Honda. I will message you where it is displayed.

And the posting rights couldn't have come at a better time. Cos I just got off the phone with Pilot Honda. Now if you don't feel like listening to a frustrated rant, skip the post right now
1st Jan, I wake up all kicked about the happiest 5000 I was gonna spend for a long time. Being from Chembur I head to Pilot Honda Chembur and finding it closed I call up their Mulund branch, confirm they were open, pay the amount and book a Black C-ABS version. The helpful guy at the store had no clue about the bike except for the displacement, but told me I was third on the list, first C-ABS and generously offered to deliver my Machine from the Chembur showroom. I told him I loved him and that he reminded me of the kid brother I never had and left there. Now this was when I thought the Black being offered was the full black they showed on the World Honda site. The minute I heard it was a two-tone I called them up to change my preference to red. Their response "no worries sir, we'll give you your preference at the time of delivery". Coming back to today's phone call. They called me to tell me that they received the first lot. Somewhere a melodious tune broke out in my head.
PH: You booked an ABS version in black.
            Me: yeah about the color...
PH: Sir, we received only one ABS bike in this lot. And it's red. And we are giving it to somebody else.
Me: How is that possible. Don't I get the first right of refusal?
            PH: Blah Blah Blah
Long story short. Our friend had called in on the 28th of Dec to request for a booking to be made on the 1st in a branch that was gonna be closed. So that puts him higher on the list. I was given the option of going for a silver non ABS version or waiting for the next lot. I will go practice deep breathing right now.
Dude did he tell you the bikes have arrived or has been dispatched from the factory?? coz I myself have booked from Pilot honda chembur and getting my C-ABS Red colour on 2-3rd may mostly and i was 1st on their list

            • I see people getting Test rides in Thane. What about showrooms in Malad, Kandivali or Mahim.... useless to ask about Jogeshwari where i booked. The guy even in May would still say "April me launch hogi"

Before i write any of it, the fanatics on this page should realize petrol is becoming increasingly rare to waste on burning me. You can instead feed me chocolate and make me suffer a cardiac.

The clip on bars is kind of disappointing, to say the least. I mean the Comet looked well put together in front of it. And that is a Hyosung for crying out loud.
I really like the centre Tacho design. I don't know how good it will be in the day time to read odo and trip and speed on that piddly little thing at the bottom, but i still like it. The tacho at the centre is so porsche cool.

The engine the panels, the alloys and the rest of the basic stuff looked very well put together.

Another disappointment were the foot rests/pegs. The ones on ZMR look better manufactured to me.

The levers also were not oozing quality.

But here is the thing, and i hope that will prevent the fanboys running after me with cans of petrol, with the moderators in tow, most of the stuff that i don't like or looks a bit cheap is what can be replaced over the years. Foot pegs, levers, even those really ugly looking indicators are the stuff that will be there in aftermarket catalogues and since this is a world bike am guessing it will be there soon. The engine, the alloys, the tyres, the seating position (which i think is close to perfect), are all good. The rest is personal choice and can be changed as and when required.

Also i found it to be a tad bit long for my liking, i was expecting it to be smaller, but that is just me, the rest of you i think prefer a little bigger looking bike.
So i think by the looks of it Honda has a winner, even if it is not a typically Honda quality product.

P.S: the sound was ok. Not good or bad. Nowhere close to the awesomeness that is a RTR or disappointment that is almost every hero honda.
What's the annoyance guys? I see,the ones who are trying to crash the CBR party are the ones who haven't booked it yet.Either we are envious or we are really up to something constructive. Those who have booked the bike are cheerful and waiting. Those who have nothing to do are complaining.I guess, the thread belongs to those who have paid the booking amount and not for the errand-critics.Right?..

Everyday, there are some hundred guys who come here and throw detailed reports on each and every part of the bike. Some have been useful like, the one by the guy with MT-01 keys. Apart from that and a few more,I believe every one is trying to nit-pick things from wherever and whatever possible.

First off, those who are trying to judge the all-round capabilities of the bike by riding it for just 300-400 meters of a stretch are just blabbering.Simply turn a deaf ear to these guys. You CANNOT judge a bike by riding for a few hundred meters.Yes,you might feel the 'pull' from the motor or the bite from the brake lever but that's not all of it.If that were the case, then road-testers all over the world wouldn't spend days or a week on a bike/car for no reasons. One has to get to the minutest of detail that goes into making a complete bike/car.Only then, can he/she comment on the worthiness of it

Secondly, the quality of plastics.Even if it's bad,or lets say, very poor I am sure it wouldn't fall off the first or second day after taking the delivery.I have a 6 year old Activa and I think plastics are all very firmly sticked together till now.Actually,I can't remember the last day or the last time I bothered to look at them. Also,I can't recall from my last ride if I felt the oozing quality of the levers while clutching or pulling the front-brake.Pegs,need to check them!

If anyone backs-out because of the plastic quality,I suggest him this-Tupperware,a brand which makes the best of plastick-y things.Surface finish is brilliant! For all you care is about plastics and not the innards of the bike.

Leaving plastics aside,I haven't really heard anything very negative or deal-breaker about the bike?? Coming to the handling, which I feel is one most important aspect of the bike.Compare it with Ninja and R15 only if you want to go hard-core track racing every weekend(where?).Nevertheless,as a capable handler the reviews have been good.Yes?

For an average Joe,I bet it will do everything brilliantly!

Therefore,my humble request to all, lets keep the thread moving and avoid yelling about Ifs and buts! I like visiting this thread, please keep it clean..

PS: I cannot afford the CBR250R as of yet! Haven't booked it and have no silly obsession with it.

ya nice u did that.. now someone who really deserves will get the bike which was ment for you...lol (u r simply a Yamaha Man velangatha Rasi or say VR)

In Thailand people who had CBR150 bought CBR250 and happy with the performance over CBR150R and R15 is not as powerful as CBR150R and u should be knowing that. and please stop saying R15 is better performer.. may be on track in handling section.. that's it.

and after buying Ninja, please come to Chennai.. i want to give u a run for your money... and lets see if can show me double the accleration and double the speed for double the money u Pay...

it was clearly said not to compare any other bike with CBR and lets follow that my friend.

if you want accleration and speed double when comparing to ninja price.can you tell me how it is doubled to pulsar 220 as the price is almost half of cbr 250r.
please dont compare bikes accelarations and speeds with price point

+100!!! Please dont spoil the excitement guys!! Those who got dissapointed with the bike and find some reason its not worth for.. You can always put it forward in a healthy way.. Why critisize?? And then why compare when there is logically no other bike around that fits all the bills together and thus qualifies for a camparo???
I too found somethings annoying on the bike.. But then i am also seeing what it is giving me over my older ones.. And i like that.. I go for it.. You dont.. Save your money and wait for something better.. Needless to say, every bike can be critisized..

                                Note:
My dealer is delivering the first two bikes on 28th.. And guys, there are all three colours for display now in the kandivali showroom! So the ones confused over colour can see all the three together and decide!!
                                Red = most eyecatcher
                                silver = sexiest and classic..
Black = Not a bad one but i am tired of black..("feared the black" all these years )
