See for yourself both the colours and choose the one that stings youOriginally posted by crazy_NJ View PostWent to the showroom during office hour only
as I was not able to resist myself (@Vijay: got the address form your post, Thanks) and saw the bike in flesh.. It looks awesome man.. I am not at all able to concentrate on my work.. Dreaming of her only..
In pics, RED looks good.. But the BLACK also looks stunning.. Now confused between BLACK and RED..
IMO, the red has got more lust to it. Forget all that old sayings as Black lasts long, red fades fast etc... any colour you are bound to get bored at some point of time and you will not want them to last for your life :P Just be happy with the colour that strikes you for the time it lasts and then it is time to change the colour (or the bike
).

Black and Red both look fantastic and add's its own character into the bike.
I'm yet to see Silver, but whoever has seen it are swearing by it.
If anyone gets to see the Silver color in bangalore, please let me know , I'd like to check it out myself.
P.s: Folks, Dont go with final verdict looking at the display bikes in the showroom. I'm saying this because the bikes that we saw in the warehouse looked far superior in finishing than the one in the showroom. I'm guessing they have put the initial batch(the one reported couple of pages back with the quality issue) to the showroom since they know the 'aam' junta would be poking their fingers everywhere and revving it during the test rides.
P.s2: People who are getting the bikes, Make sure to give it a good run-in. The company is recommending to give it oil change after first 1000 km, But for performance bikes, i think it would be optimal to change the engine oil after first 500km (i believe more wear & tear happens in the early kms). .Last edited by xxbomb; 04-25-2011, 09:37 PM.sigpic

I'll get a stock ZMA along...someone get a Ninja.
My Ninjette should be more than happy to participate for the event.

Can ,I join you all?????Me too wanna test ride it..Originally posted by gsferrari View PostDK - Did I get to see and ride the bike before you?
Come to Thane...we'll go to Vihaan together. Anyone else want to go there as a group so we can block off the bike for a proper test-ride. The sales-lady was open to us coming in before opening on a week-day and getting more time with the bike.
Awesome dealership and really friendly staff @ Vihaan Honda!sigpic

Yeah. It's crappy alright. Even I've decided to follow a wait and watch approach. I spoke with the owner of My Wings Honda. He just has 20 CBR bookings (as compared to around 70 at Pashankar). He told me that he'd probably get to deliver a new booking in June. So, there goes my plan of switching from Pashankar. I'd suggest that you go and see your actual booking number for yourself. I was being promised a delivery in the first batch too - and now suddenly, they are singing a different tune. The dude, Sachin said that it'll be ten days before he can tell me about the delivery status.Originally posted by ThisPointer View PostDude, that's pretty crappy! i booked mine on the 10th of Jan.. he'd told me a different booking number completely! 11th or something.. Nonetheless, I'm anyway pissed with Pashankar Honda. Regretting the decision of booking the bike with them. Let's wait and watch.. I was promised a delivery in the first lot. Hopefully it will be...
Check out the bikes though - they've probably kept one on display today. I've not gotten their call as yet - even though they'd promised to call me as soon as they would.
I'm just waiting for them to push me a little bit more... I'll wait, save up and get a Ninja if they aggravate me further. Dropped a mail to HMSI. No reply as of yet. Do they even read such mails? Does anyone have a success story of receiving a reply from the folks at Honda?

Got a call from the dealer that the bike is on display.
Went to check it out and here are my impressions
1. From afar, the bike looks good. The front name plate is a spoiler but i guess people will take care of it.
2. From 3 Quarters, the bike looks meaty. The rear tyre is massive.
3. I liked the front console. Ride position is decent. Foot pegs a tad high for my liking but ok.
4. The sound is ok. A bit better than the zma (which tends to sound like a mixie to me at lower rpms
)
5. The bike didn't look puny to me. It felt well proportioned actually.
Now for things which really left a bad taste in the mouth.
1. Absolutely pathetic fit and finish. Most of the plastic bits are flimsy.
2. The exhaust is completely out of place. In pics it looked ok but in reality, its very weird.
3. The chassis joint(or whatever its called) had terrible finish. The seat material will tear easily.
4. The silver fibre bit over the exhaust will chip off easily in my opinion.
5. A huge eyesore. The fuel lid doesn't fit correctly with the opening. On one side there is more gap than the other.
6. The paint quality on the handle is bad. It actually chipped off a bit when i scratched a little.
7. The brake lever must have broken off a bit. It was neatly welded on. Can be felt only with the hand. Should be a one off case.--- My wife pointed out this one.
Looks like the honda guys are manually assembling the bikes
With such atrocious finish, for me at-least, Honda has spoiled a potentially good bike. I wish they charge 10k more, but give better build quality.
Will keep the booking till i get the test ride which is scheduled this weekend. Lets see if the performance can change my opinion
