Hey just my opinion. Take someone who rides a P220 or Karizma for daily commute, he will be the best person to tell if it is worthy upgrade or not.Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View PostAll six months i have spent reading user reviews, ride reports, and first impressions for the cbr all said that this things got loads of low end torque.. A dream to ride in traffic n blah blah blah...
Now this thing makes me think..
I thought i will buy it without a test-ride!! Ofcourse, i am buying it.. But first, i am rushing to Thane for a test ride.. Wanna get all my expectations sorted.. ofcourse, we cant expect a 250cc 25bhp to be a superbike..
My ride review.. Coming soon.... Wheeeeeee...
I am going to do the same.
I dont want the review of a pilot for a 250cc bike

Could the Clutch slippage be because they may have tuned the test bike in such a manner?
The overdrive review guy stated that a simple turn of the throttle can get the front wheel in the air.
So to avoid this and in turn crashing the bike (Which a lot of test riders might just do in their excitement), they could have set the clutch in that manner?
Because if it is what you say gsferrari than it is a tad bit disappointing indeed

I've loved the sound of CBR in real. But for the first time, I'm loving the sound of CBR "in a video"...

+1 I am going tomorrow to test out the CBR I have driven a Karizma for daily commute for nearly 6 years now. I am going to buy the bike either ways to replace my old karizma but if as mentioned about low end torque and pick up issues I may change my mind and put some additional mulla and buy a Ninja but not a ZMA for sure.Originally posted by jamalkhan View PostHey just my opinion. 1) ZMA is nothing but a Karizma with some cosmetic changes. How can u compare the looks of CBR250 and ZMA.
2) HH faith now after the split between Hero / Honda looks very unstable.
3) Service not the same as before after the close down of Creative Motors. I have had lot of problems getting spares for the karizma at authorized service centers specially in the suburbs.
4) Lastly please don't forget that ZMA was the last technology exchange given by Honda to Hero.My Garage :

Great videos thereOriginally posted by gsferrari View PostShort segment of the video to show you how much clutch slip I had to use to get away from standstill. This is not a clutch "setting" ka issue...this is a low-end-torque issue. This is an over-square bore which is quite different from the under-square bore of the ZMA. Hence this reluctance from 0kph to 20kph.
Just to add some facts here:
Karizma Bore x Stroke = 65.5 X 66.2
CBR250R Bore x Stroke = 76.0 x 55.0
Just so you know I am not talking out of my ass...which is fun sometimes!
YouTube - No Bottom End Torque MP4
I must also add that the Headlights haven't been improved on much since the dawn of the Karizma...which is another disappointment
Which camera were you using mate?? is it the gopro?? Loved the Honda hummm in the mid-range. Music to the ears
Hows your take on the ride and vibes?? did it feel buzzy??

Kerala, in Trichur, I asked Johns Honda, they said they already have the test ride. Can someone confirm this?Originally posted by Binoy View PostWe people here in kerala are waiting for its arrival
. Dealer says it will reach here tomorrow(25th)...
Finally a proper thinkhead in this forum.Originally posted by nagoo View Post...
Don;t go by others review .. check out urself .. he is riding MT-01 and he knows and used to that power ... it makes lot of difference .. just try to ride HH Spledor after riding with R15 or P220 u know how it feels ..
different ppl have different views and expectations .. so take all the +ve points from them and note down the -ve points and verify urself those -ve points [its the easiest way to judge a bike]
(CBR250R) not equals to (ZMR) not equals to (P220) not equals to (R15) not equals to (Ninja)
so stop comparing in any way..
and finally .......
for some ppl its Superbike and for some its Dream bike and for others its not worthy upgrade from P220|R15.. its personal view more than anything (we know practically superbike >=1KCC in general)..
so lets enjoy this bike .. and the thrill it gives

Thanks for the video man, amazing sound... And did you guys notice, quite easy to overtake. What kind of setup did you use for the camera?Originally posted by gsferrari View Post

First, Thanks that you didn't forget to replyOriginally posted by MG_Biker1806 View Post@aargee - You asked me few days...or not thinking it as a worthy upgrade.
I really appreciate.
Hmm...a ZMR having 4 valves, DOHC with counter balance & manufactured by Hero groupOriginally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostIt is always a bigger Karizma for me...its a very good bike but not as a CBR250
I doubt anywhere on the recent times. We all compare this with ZMR because we know HH tie up + we're in India & the closest of CC match between ZMR & CBR. How about the blokes in EU or USA? To them its still a CBR isn't it? Besides, the ZMR, I'm sure wouldn't have made its way to any developed countries.
In that aspect, aren't we getting a truly international motorcycle at an affordable pricing here?
But then I still agree, for someone who's looking to buy a C250R from P220, it certainly is not an upgrade, its only switching platform.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
