Honda had clearly stated that CBR250R is an International Bike so I dont think there will be any changes :P
In that case we need to look very closely at the bike when it comes out, because as myg pointed out earlier the quality if the bike is not as good and lets hope that the final bike does not have the same quality as the display one.

    • Hey all xbhpians i am a newbie here.
Can u clear my confusion about the standard version of CBR and C-ABS version
as C-ABS stands for Combined ABS
Does it mean that non C-ABS version (1.43 lakh approx ) do not have ABS ?

Nope C-ABS is actually CBS + ABS - Combined Braking System with Antilock Braking System.

Yes Standard Version doesnt have C-ABS!
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

Standard is without C-ABS (normal like all the other bikes in india) and C-ABS is Combined ABS. C-ABS version is around 1.8L

            • It means that the standard version has normal disc brakes without any ABS mechanism, isn't it ?

But I was just curious to know that CBR is quite competitively priced in Thailand as well so is there any bike with which it is sharing it parts ???? or is it the only case in India. And since the bikes are going to be exported to be other countries so will there be any difference in those bikes
this question is worrying me also!
a diff cbr for indians than the rest of the world??????

Yes.. I expect a barrage of replies saying its not so, but just wait and see.. A small after thought in terms of Honda Spare prices.. How many people here know that the Ex-Showroom price for any Honda Two Wheeler includes stuff like the basic floor mat, rear grab rails and one mirror in an Active/Aviator/Dio..? And, how many dealers give you two mirrors, a rear grab rail and a floor mat without charging money..? So, to all CBR250R buyers, please contact Honda Customer Care before hand verify the parts that'll be fitted as standard.. Cause, there are bound to be a few profusely bleeding dealers if some people get shocked when they are charged for a barrage of ACCESSORIES.. I just hope that this doesn't lead to a situation where one will have to shell out extra for two wheels and an engine..

                      • The tire on indian version is made by continental and is named as Goconti.
The one in thailand is made by IRC
I have a simple question is IRC and continental making the tire for CBR in collaboration?

The down payment amount is not confirmed, but 'expected' as the dealers will tell u... Actual details will only be out later in the month.. which sucks.. :-|
True bro and the attitude of the salesperson is awful.. I don't understand why Honda doesn't train their staff with basic stuff and info at least when they are about to launch a bike such as CBR.

By the way, did you check at other Honda showrooms too? Honda Wings is a relatively new showroom so it is *probable* that they may not have much info compared to the other established ones. Need to check with Kothari Wheels and Pashankar Auto.

Regarding the down payment, yes nothing is fixed, everything is approximate at present. But these details will matter later. Right now I want to see the bike!!

                          • Finally.. I saw the cbr in flesh!! The red one in malad showroom. And am quiet impressed!! biggest worry was the size of the bike. And thank God its great! A lot better then the r15(no offense).. Well i am not a plastic engg to comment on quality and stuff.. But i feel it was on par.. Better then on indian bikes before. And come on.. We should expect only what we are paying for.. Its a 1.5l bike and not >5l.. Whatever it is.. I am happy.. Stunning presense!! Two things i dint like are..1. The colour seemed different.. I mean it dint look the usual honda red.. It was bit dark.. 2. I felt the exhaust a bit too big plus it was looking different from the bike.. I think it shall cause a problem in cornering and in traffic.. The mirrors didnt seem too bad.. The rod was long but was ok and didnt look odd. And i think the number plate could be altered a bit to fit more closer and then wont be a problem.. And yes.. I felt the quality of the seat fabric could be better.. But not a big issue.. I loved it overall.. And a kind of good news.. The downpayment he quoted me is 53k.. Which is awesome! And the guy who gave me the info looked quiet confident on the finance scheme he said.. Finance would be hdfc.. Its 12% interest for other bikes but would be 10% for the cbr..

And also.. I loved the headlamp and the speedo..

Sorry HH hunk.. I couldnt inform you..and visited alone..
