Whaaaat??? A few pages back when I said the first lot of C250R will be an import from Thailand, few ppl said a big NO & said HMSI started manufacturing it here. If it were manufactured here, why would they want to bring that in steel cages Why not a simple long hauling truck?

    • A bike like CBR 250 R coming in steel cage is a pure bullshit.

Saw the bike in flesh, it has the most ugliest looking end can i have ever seen, the end can of a dozen decade old yezdi looks better.

Apart from that shitty silencer, the whole bike looks super for a 1.5 lakh package.

        • Did anyone notice one more thing about it. Theres a lot of shared parts with the Unicorn, the indicators, switches etc.
Talk of quality and cost cutting.

I am surprised you spotted them so late. How else do you think Honda has managed to price it so competitively

            • No big deal guys

Well I am not amazed at the statement that the bike will come in sort of steel cage like bigger bikes

The my dealer said that they wont give delivery at the franchisee/branch, we have to bring it from their storage yard. (Mine is in Cotton Greens, Mazgaon)

He didnt say anything about the steel cage but he said each container will have only 2 bikes so delivery is bound to be late

Also not everyone will be allowed to handle CBR at their yard, this statement made me happy

The Pune showrooms have very little info (for god knows what reason!).
The down payment amount is not confirmed, but 'expected' as the dealers will tell u... Actual details will only be out later in the month.. which sucks.. :-|

Buddy, its called platform sharing & not cost cutting, which is a very good thing. Otherwise, ppl here will start cribbing on the price of C250R.

                          +1 Dude

Yes if they make SPECIAL parts for CBR then the cost of bike and the spares will rise

So I dont mind sharing these parts
After all CBR is a CBR and Unicorn is Unicorn!!!!!

                            Perfectly True!
Just Imagine... Ninja spares are damn costly which has made me re-think again and again to buy one.
I hope in this aspect CBR will be a heads up winner

Buddy!! it is quite evident here that platform sharing is the only mean by which cost cutting can be done on CBR.

But I was just curious to know that CBR is quite competitively priced in Thailand as well so is there any bike with which it is sharing it parts ???? or is it the only case in India. And since the bikes are going to be exported to be other countries so will there be any difference in those bikes

The saree guard may not be there in International Bikes :P

Honda had clearly stated that CBR250R is an International Bike so I dont think there will be any changes :P
