Regarding price, couldn't have asked for anything better. 20-30k lower would have meant even worse overall quality. The pricing is bang on.

Sat on the CBR at Malad Showroom. For a guy who is 6 by 4 :P here are some pointers:

Bike looks small (almost puny) on someone who is 6 feet tall. This is not a bad thing I believe as I think it will be much easier to control. I think the seating is lower than even a pulsar (cannot confirm though :S)
The seating is bang on. It was comfortable and my hands didn't feel like they were stretched. Actually, I think, for taller people the handling shouldn't be a problem. It is somewhere in between a P220 and an R15. I haven't sat on a ZMR yet so cannot compare with that.

Thats some nice observation. Thankfully some critical observation is being done by members. If one can't get good quality after shelling out 1.5 lakhs on a single cylinder, then how worthy is it. Now i have serious rethinking to do with my booking

Also, i will never trust the gaga ride reports of mag guys. When was the last time they ever criticized any bike. The companies simply won't allow it

I will insist on a proper test drive and only then will i put my money down.

Just back from Pashankar Honda in Pune. Saw a black ABS and a total of six bikes (rest non-ABS ones) there. The bike'll be there on display tomorrow. No word on the deliveries. I spoke with Sachin from sales - saw the list of bookings. There's something fishy going on. They have booking dates from November - 07th of November 2010 shows the date of their first booking. I had a heated argument with him and his manager - told him that Honda started accepting bookings officially from Jan 01st - so he was like - no, we'd put up a board and we started booking bikes from November itself. I'm bloody pissed off at Pashankar Honda now - because when I'd booked it, I was at number 15. Now they tell me that I'm at number 31. Not only is it disgusting that I got to know of the bikes because I went to the showroom, but there seems to be some underhanded stuff going on too, which has totally put me off. If there's some other place in Pune where the people are better, I'm ready to pull out my booking from Pashankar. Any suggestions?

BTW, I'd been to Sterling Honda yesterday. The bike is perfect. My red-ABS babe - I can't wait to ride her. If only the dealers weren't so thieving...

Well, when you'd booked, did you not have the computerized booking number on the receipt of the booking amount?

How good these mags are can be gauged by the "original" travelogues they publish.
Reference: Travelogue on t-bhp ripped off by OverDrive without permission. The mag went to the extent of modifying content by endorsing a particular brand of tyres which weren't even used !!

I'd booked on the 05th of Jan. No, there's no computerized booking number on the receipt.

My booking number is 111 across the OM Sai Honda outlets in Mumbai is what I was told. According to them the bookings are centralised across their dealerships.
