Really glad for you man.....As long as you didn't have to grease any palms at Pilot, you deserve the heartiest congratulations...The proud owner of a swanky new CBR250R. While you are there, do let me know if they are getting their display and test ride machines anytime soon. Hopefully the next lot will bring me mine whenever that is.

          • Just got a call from someone at Honda who has seen my ride-report and videos. They are now claiming that the bike I tested at Vihaan Honda had a clutch issue and therefore the bike has been removed from test-ride duty until this has been serviced. I have also been requested to have another ride on Thursday to see if I am satisfied with the bike.

Others like Rossiter who I trust implicitly with his feedback said that the bike pulls away cleanly.

Given this information I am reserving judgement on the initial throttle response until I ride the bike post service. Someone has obviously abused the bike badly during a test ride...maybe tried to pull wheelies or something and burnt it by the time it came to my hands.

Crying shame...the dealership should have known better...anyone riding that test-bike would have hated it.

So there is hope for my next Ladakh bike yet! I'll post a revised ride-report when I get the chance.

but look at the positive of them calling you up & appraising of the situation.
me too am liking the way the managers speak up on the phone & in person (exception - sai honda malad probably)

Not sure...I had put links to it on Facebook and someone else cross-posted it to TeamBHP so I am not sure where the picked up the report from.

Either ways you can look at this from 2 angles:

                  1. How come a brand new bike has a broken clutch within 300Km?
                  2. Good that Honda has probably realized that test-ride bikes need to be maintained very carefully. In this segment the difference between a sale and a walk-out is a good test-ride.

No matter what anyone tells you, don't believe them, as far as these corporations go a Sale is a Sale is a Sale is $$$

Nobody wants to let $$$ go...

They have to follow up on the net. After all, all the initial booking have done because of the information spread on the net (IMO).

My booking number is 10th as given by the main office of Silicon honda Basavanagudi. As of BSK 3rd stage my booking is second but the bokking number from the head office counts always..

What is your booking number as of Silicon honda Basavanagudi?
                              Checked that mine is 11.

This is a big problem now I am not even confident of getting it in the first lot as Mohseen had told me some single digit bikes in the first lot. The second lot, I fear, would come by in June-July! If not in the first lot, there is R15 for me Its really a big pain to wait for two more months!!!

Did he say anything about your probable delivery lot - is it in the first lot?

That's a good news! Good that Honda has realized it and have called you back.
