The most Comprehensive test ride report
Finally took a test Ride today. However My test ride seems to be heavily compromised as there were quite a queue for it.
I am no Expert here but following are my impressions.
1. First of i have been riding karizma since 2006 and the moment the bike got moving i could clearly feel the difference. I have read people writing that zma/p220/R15 owner could not feel the difference but thats not true completely.
2. The Best thing was the Suspension and braking. It was a C-ABS version.I tried braking hard on wet patches purposely and on potholes but the bike was stopping nicely. impressed in this department.
3. The seating posture was comfortable. I did feel a little just a little stress on wrist initially but nothing what i felt when riding R15.
4. The suspension setup was great, the ride quality was awesome.
5.I ripped it till 9000 rpm. Second and third gera seems to have nice pull. Did not get nice stretch.
I am putting 2 videos and dare any1 lol at them

Yeah I wanted my nephew(age 5) to sit with me who came to see the bike but this guy did not allow me to go alone citing company policy etc.
Also today i got to see all 3 colors in one place. it was a boon as i could make out which color to go for. Now I am sure for me its the Silver.

Bro, check your PM! ASAP!Originally posted by cranky View PostYeah. It's crappy alright. Even I've decided to follow a wait and watch approach. I spoke with the owner of My Wings Honda. He just has 20 CBR bookings (as compared to around 70 at Pashankar). He told me that he'd probably get to deliver a new booking in June. So, there goes my plan of switching from Pashankar. I'd suggest that you go and see your actual booking number for yourself. I was being promised a delivery in the first batch too - and now suddenly, they are singing a different tune. The dude, Sachin said that it'll be ten days before he can tell me about the delivery status.
Check out the bikes though - they've probably kept one on display today. I've not gotten their call as yet - even though they'd promised to call me as soon as they would.
I'm just waiting for them to push me a little bit more... I'll wait, save up and get a Ninja if they aggravate me further. Dropped a mail to HMSI. No reply as of yet. Do they even read such mails? Does anyone have a success story of receiving a reply from the folks at Honda?
I spoke to the Pashankar guy. He said that they'll call us in the first week of may for the payment formalities. He also mentioned that if we'd booked the bike before 10th Jan, we would still be 56th on the list
! i told him my number was between 10 and 15! he said then we'll give u delivery by second week of may but can't promise u anything. And suddenly, he mentioned that they started bookings from November! I'd gone to the showroom in November and asked about bookings!! bloody liars!
No showroom was allowed to take bookings before Jan 1st! This thing needs to be reported to Honda! if cranky's done it, well and good.. but i'm gonna write a mail myself as well.2004 Hero Honda CBZ classic

ExcellentOriginally posted by rossiter View PostAll I need is a simple, fast enough commuter/occasional tourer, and the CBR250R fits the bill.
Add to that - isn't that attractive to gather crowd to cause apprehension that something might break & even if it does, it isn't that expensive to replace

I second that!!!Originally posted by bprags View Post@MG :- I feel that ride report deserves a separate thread, you can call it the official XBHP review too

A very well written first ride report rossiter!! And a much needed too..
Exactly the same thing for meOriginally posted by rossiter View PostSudeep, I was actually looking at this bike from a long time. My P180 is starting to show its age and the quality of spares has really dropped in recent years. All I need is a simple, fast enough commuter/occasional tourer, and the CBR250R fits the bill.

@tauseef: where did you test ride? You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

People throwing a negative review about CBR 250 R is okay but there is no guarantee that their reviews are authentic. It may also be true that they want to distract the potential buyers or lovers of CBR 250R.
So, be your own judge before arriving any any decision to cancel the booking. BTW, Ninja is good enough but its spare parts are way costly. Its not everyday that we get chance to zoom past 150km/hr mark. So, a balanced decision is imp.
Anyways, can anyone confirm the booked amount of 5000 bucks is refundable or non-refundable. Cuz my dealer said its non-refundable.

Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D
