Quite true what you're saying. But I remember a bloke saying a few pages back that his dealer sold (or selling) one but asked to take out by May 1. Since that sounded more of poser statement, I don't know how much of it is true.Originally posted by pulsar_flame View PostSkill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Ride review
I took the test ride of the CBR 250R yesterday. Thanks to Aashish and OF sir!
First Impression
1) Looks: The bike looks neat, quite compact and not huge. The fairing plastics are of good build quality, the headlamp looks in place and not bulging out. To me, the bike is definitely an eye turner, and even though it does not have a big bike feel, it still is pretty concise and well structured. Definitely NOT an eye-sore. The let down somewhat was the exhaust. It’s huge and I feel it was somewhat out of place.
2) Seating position: This was my biggest concern. At 6'2, the legs longer than the torso, I was skeptical on whether the knee-recess would be able to accommodate my long legs, and whether the position of the gear as well as the brake pedals would be comfortable enough for me to change gears and brake, without adjusting/shifting. And all those fears were wiped away as soon as I sat on it. It seemed much more comfortable than the R-15 and more comfortable than my Xtreme! Contrary to the R-15, I did not have to pull my feet back to brake. Also, I was delighted to fit in my knees with not even a hint of them touching the layered fairing. One thing I did feel however was the clipons are bent a little more than usual. I hope they are adjustable, as I would like to change that angle, as per my comfort. For me, the riding posture was just fine, ideal for touring. A definite plus! But then again, that's me; I find the R-15 ideal for touring as well
3) Riding impressions: Slot in the first and the bike pulls away amazingly. 0-40/50 came in no time. I was mighty impressed with the low-end grunt and that remained the high point of my ride. The bike pulls away fairly well in the 4th/5th gear on low speeds with no knocking and non-sluggishly. Did not take it above 5k rpm as it was new, had only 83 kms on the odo. The bike is rev-friendly though I did not feel the over-square engine as rev-friendly as the R15.
The engine is quite refined. The power delivery of the bike is very precise and linear and there are no abrupt surges, which definitely is a plus. I am yet to take it over 5k, I hope it shall perform well in that power band as well. BUT, the exhaust note, though, did seem a little let-down, or maybe I was expecting it to be more prominent, more coarse. Reminded me of the note of the p-220.
4) Handling: Owing to the long wheel base, the bike handles superb. I took a corner (at ~65) and did not feel any hesitation while doing so. It is also quite flickable, owing to its compact size and design. Shall do well in traffic, is what I foresee. Also, since the seat is positioned low, you have more control over it. At 6'2 and 85 kgs that I am, I can safely say that the bike did what I wanted it to do! The braking too, is responsive, as it does eliminate speed quick enough. It was the standard version that I rode. I did feel that they could have been a tad better. The C-ABS should be great on tarmac is what I am expecting.
I shall be in a position to provide further reviews, mainly on performance, as soon as I get hands on mine.
All an all, I was pretty satisfied with this Honda. At 1.5L is this value for money? I would definitely say yes. BUT then again, if you are presuming that you are getting a "big-bike" at 1.5L, then your expectation shall be hurt. The CBR 250R is an excellent product for the price at which it comes, and at this segment, currently, there isn't competition for it!

Is it possible to get anything like that in India?Originally posted by MeTaL_MaNiaC View Posti had checked those mirrors on net a month back.. I think the company's name is rizoma or something similar but any guess how much it costed??
Somewhere around 22k in Indian rupees.. Then i just took them off my mind..
If you install any mirrors other than the factory fitted ones, aren't they prone to vibrations?Originally posted by darkknight View Post5250 yen roughly 2.2 k & not 22 k
Same query here. Did our Saphire people say that bike comes with the security that they fix? And where are you planning to get these security stuffs from?Originally posted by xxbomb View Postcould someone tell me if installation of HID / Security system on the bike would void its warranty?
Xena doesnt tinker with the electrics i think..so it should not affect the warranty watsoever.
I was thinking of getting a Roots security system installed. . . and the HID... i think the stock should suffice for a while..:P
Oooh, you are definetly getting my shopping list!!! Where exactly?Originally posted by myg124 View PostHeading to the south-east next month. Will get some CBR goodies

Dealers in Viajaywada are delivering the CBR and the dealers in Hyderabad are sleeping.Originally posted by ajaymulpuri View PostLol is it true
i am from hyd dammm..here dealers r saying that they had no idea even for display vehicle also where is the show room located at i know vij very well....

May be the dealers are enjoying the bikes keeping them at home.
Its a big joke that the dealers in Hyderabad do not even have proper information as to when the bikes will be delivered in Hyderabad, whereas the dealers in two-tier city, Vijayawada, are delivering the CBR.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Cant say how reliable their claim is. it might be that they never booked and they will never buy any other bike.Originally posted by Youngking View PostI wonder what their expectations were when they booked! I hope most of us here know what is our need and what is CBR capable off. I'll strictly go with my decision no matter who says what. I am sure CBR will fill my needs. I am not expecting CBR to be exceeding ninja (as most compare) in every department with low price just because both are 250CC. No one is perfect neither the bike nor the rider!!
Though it has arrived here in bangalore showrooms, I am still holding my temptation to visit there. As i said in my earlier thread the first touch and ride will be on my baby
! No test rides I believe in my choice. oh God hear my voice??????????
Had they booked the bike they would have asked someone in xBhp to take their booking.
Dont know, may be.It's not my confidence, I speak the Destiny

Ajay: I do have a couple of other cbr folks from other forums, will be meeting them and buying the goodies from places they know. So far so good!
Some members from other forums are really ranting about Om Sai Honda, Malad's experience. And from what I too had experienced, it is really really bad. I urge folks to book it from Venetian at Borivli as its much better and prompt. The place was about to close down, heck why it didnt?!"Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"
