I was wondering how this is possible because each time I called up they assured me that, they'll call me & inform when the bike hits the showroom for display. So I asked them why they haven't called me. So the lady goes over usual gaga & finally mentions that since I've booked the vehicle at Ambattur branch, they missed out calling, but assures that my details are in system & she proved it too

Anyway, I couldn't make it last Friday, so I call them up this morning & find out the bike is still there for display & no test ride. Fine, I go up to see the bike all way riding 13 Kms.

First impressions - The bike looks somewhere in between commuter & big bike category & certainly in one go it tends to give a big bike feeling.

Thorough check - After reading so many good & bad reviews, I decided to check them all by myself. First & foremost thing, yes, there's a slight quality lack from a Japanese manufacturer or CBU perspective, but certainly, a good quality compared to any Indian manufacturer. The quality loss are mostly noticeable at the weld points such as frame & clip ons. The saree guard is missing on the C250R here, so can't comment much. The front panel seems to be slightly smaller in size compared to the huge pics that is floated around the internet. The one that was put up was STD version Black in color with silver creasing on the fairing & under seat. Clutch seem to be very smooth & soft.

Will I buy - From a big yes, it has changed to a million dollar question now. One of the primary reason why I'd booked was easy access to ASC compared to limited number of ASC of N250R.

I spent a good 15-20 minutes looking at the bike & no one even came near me nor when I tried to ask someone, all of them seemed to be busy selling other Honda stables. Tried approaching the manager, but those people are no where in sight & their seats are empty. As we all know, most of the sales talk are sugar coated followed by pathetic ASC. But in this case, forget the sugar talk, there was no one around to ask what I needed in the first place.

While keeping the above experience aside, any day you ask them when the bike would arrive, no one has a clue. Each time you call up you get a same trained answer - 2 months waiting period. That was the same thing they told me this morning over the phone too. So when I asked if it would take June/July, they don't have a concrete answer, they say, they're expecting first lot by May 10 & would decide after that.

I'm gradually loosing interest on this bike as HMSI first said...
              - The launch date was mid Apr
              - Deliveries commence by end Apr

Now its May 6th now, but still dealers have no clue nor HMSI isn't letting out any concrete news.

Frankly speaking, my hopes are put down miserably by the attitude of HMSI & the dealers. What should I do? Cancel my booking & wait for something else? Pls advice?

Hi Bro Exactly the samething happened to me here in Bangalore Dream Honda, whitefield. First i thought i would never see or testride anyother bike otherthan mine which was suppose to come by end of april me being the 3rd booking in pondycherry. But thought i would see today! I visited the showroom a Black non ABS was for display. I was there for nearly 10 mins doing microscopic investigation but no sales guy came to me even i didn't want to, it seems they are not interested in taking anymore bookings.

Coming to the point, The bike looks good as in the posters. Then the usual complaint, the weld joints! The front looks small when viewed from a certain angle but looks great from exact side and front view. The tank filler cap was totally a let down . The plastics looked just fine to me not so thin or too hard and brittle. I feel the console is small, literally i was searching for it initially, hope it should be fine from rider's view.

To conclude I am more than happy to shell out my hard earned money for this. But these dealers and Honda are playing with the anticipation of the customers like anything.

I would advice you to wait for a while more, already we have waited for nearly 4 months i think it makes no difference if we wait for may be 2 more weeks. The bike really deserves the wait. Jus concentrate on other things. I am now concentrating on geting good riding apparels. Today i got a DSG glove for 2K, it is really good. I am now hunting for a good helmet here in bangalore. I am diverting myself by planning various trip plans for the whole next year .

This is exactly the reason why I dont mind waiting... Its a lot better to wait and get a good piece than to hurry and get a lemon.

Thanks for the info dude... will do a detailed PDI before it gets delivered.

EDIT: guys.. is it possible that we in Bangalore try and group at the time of delivery of each bike.. I mean.. whenever someone's bike is getting delivered.. we can help each other out with the PDI. Will be easier to spot problems.

Instead why not put up all those PDI as points over here & then take the printed sheet when taking the vehicle delivery.

                      • start abusing and see that u will get the delivery in time.

well one person did and he was success came in his hands. Well the dealers here dont see the frustration for the customer they want money money easy money bloody dealers. on the other hands what they r doing is giving it to brokers that u sell at a higher price and give me the cut and the jenuin customer is a stupid or a donkey here. Who is waiting for his bike who has already paid a part money or a full money or even 5000 rs. here non-refundable. Well thats to say they have to refund the money. Otherwise kick there butts. Well i read somewhere if HMSI is going to take so much time then what about service. Dude forget the service if by chance u meet with the accident man imagine what time they will take to supply the goods of the vehicle. These are the reasons i am not going for So called CBR.

One reason for the delay is non availability of the spares. Maybe the Tsunami effect. They don't wanna start deliveries without spare parts with them. Thats wat one of the showroom guy told me.
